It looks a bit tacky. Nice restaurants on river east edge of Nong Khai. Beung Kan had some real local ones on river.

All countries have airport taxes. 300 baht is nothing. Noise taxes, pollution taxes etc. Visa exempt 90 days charge 300 baht. No problems.

Very scenic place, nicer than most provinces. Hardly gets a mention. Great for travellers with a car. The place was far more appealing to me than Udon.

Hua Hin is a more g rated version of Pattaya. Prachuap KK much nicer.

Kids in Beung Kan villages dont see many farangs.

Thanks. I think driving from Nong Khai to Ubon via mekhong is the best trip. Thats what I would recommend. The villages in Beung Kan are nice. Good waterfalls with no farangs, wat phu tuk, 3 whale rock.

Ubon and Khong Jiam are nice. Need a car.

Bus, train, car. Good mix. Trains are fun.

Why you want to date me? Of course we have biases. We cannot like every place and sometimes you like a place more or less the 2nd time. Udon was weird. Tuk Tuk driver and his daughter offered her services 600 baht, 30 mins after I arrived. Night market had some rather disappointing food. The bars were rather bogan. KK looks great but with next to no tourists the locals seem suprised you are even there. Zero taxis or tuk tuks await a major train, thats weird to me.

I call a spade a spade. Your response was one line - very shallow and no value at all. If you have alternative reviews write them. Simply writing a one line complaint helps nobody.

Been to Ubon.

Nong Khai - friendly locals,good food. Good base to explore. Great if have car. Women average. Udon - dindgy town. A few lookers but no real point to going here. Khon Kaen - town looks good, Central Plaza is great. Transport poor. No tuk tuks or cabs wait at train station. Locals look at you like you are a 3 headed alien. Some stunning women but overall people cold. I don't think they like farangs much. Some of the coldest Thais Ive ever encountered. Shame cause the town looks great. Beung Kan - more Thai version of Nong Khai. Relaxed place. Great attractions for car. NK and BK best towns. Might try Nakhon Phanom next time. Off to Farang Mai next.

Anywhere in Thailand is great 1st trip.
