400 biker clubs to a plethora of action packed activities coinciding

with the Songkran Festival.

the four day event includes a Motorcycle Show with big brand exhibitors

such as Harley Davidson, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM

and Triumph; a Bike Contest; Live Music; Biker Games; Grand Dinner; and Miss Phuket Bike Week 2009.

A record 5,000 participants took part in 2008, including approximately 2,000 Thais, 2,000 Asians

and 1,000 foreigners - helping maintain Phuket Bike Week's reputation as the biggest motorcycle event

in South East Asia.

Phuket Bike Week has close links with charity with part of the proceedings

nice one ray .i see phuket is advertised as the biggest bike event in asia but in relaity pattaya bike week is way bigger ,massive numbers of bikes and people...the next one to that is probably baan saen bike week ,phuket is good too of course but just had to tell you.i was there in april.......see you at pattaya bike week 09 ..keep eye out for ghost riders patch and come and say hello..we ll have a few singhas or 2.

Whatever my beliefs, I feel your comment falls under the "religious or racial slur" rule.

No, it is not a religious slur.

My comments are a criticism of a festival that I have no affinity to that has been imposed on me (all of us) whether we like it or not.

It is something that I find to be quite inconvenient and given the choice I would prefer that we are spared of it, but I can do nothing about that. Likewise with new year, it is just another day on the calendar.

Anyway, get back on topic, what are you doing for Christmas?

Gasohol does not work on my 99 Yamaha Dragstar. It runs like sh... and loses power.

Is there a school/home for mentally handicapped children in Bangkok ?

Hi Big BikeBkk. The bike event in Pattaya is on Saturday the 11th not Sunday. As far as i know it is in a soi of Sukhumvit called Soi Siam country club. We are going to Jomtien tomorrow for a short break so we will be there.

Where is fast corner ?

Was stopped two weeks ago on Bangna Trad, near Bangna Towers. Same story they wanted me to go Rama 4 and pay the fine, but after about 5 seconds they accepted 200 bath on the spot. I live in Samut Prakarn so going to Rama 4 is a bit of a hassle.

I was riding in the third lane so i cant complaine.

How many days is songkran in Pattaya ? Is it safe to go down there on the bike on the 21st of April ?
