  1. The King's 80th birthday stadium is where the SEA games were held a few years back and is in Korat city. The poster is a little strange, advertising "big sedan, mid sedan, wagon style..." along with all the cars in the photo, but there are three bikes on the logo, and it does advertise a "Miss chopper" contest - although that could just as well be a Katoey beauty show. It's a two hour ride for me to get there, so I might wander along on the 14th and take a look.

If you guys don't wanna go that far there is the Paknam Bike Week on the same day. It is next to the Samut Prakarn crocodile farm.

  2. Neverdie has his own opinion which I think is akin to what my Nanna would say, but each to his own. The only thing I would warn against is overtaking at speed using the verge.....unless your passing stationary or slow moving traffic at a low speed. I do it when the freeway is backed up, but at 25 - 30 kph.

Ain't the new beasty sex on wheels!!!

    No

  3. To all smokers.

You enjoy smoking cigarettes with all the carcinogens, tars, chemicals and impurities. A by product of your smoking is that my hair and clothes stink just like you do, and you do that without my consent..

I enjoy a beer. A by product of my enjoyment is urine. Would you have any objection if I pi$$ed over your hair and clothes without your consent??

    Have a think about it.

  4. Is this likely to affect the 70-80% of Thai-owned small bikes and scooters in Surin which doubtless have no book?

they don't seem to be concerned in small bikes...and if it is an old bike they are not concerned, it seems to be 400cc and up and newer than 99 at least this is what the shop owner here told me...he refused to let them in his shop 3 times, they got a court document and came back with the police

I hope Mr Moo gets out of this farce OK, as he is one of the Good Guys (in Surin)

Dave is that the guy who had a shopin Krasang?

Keep the Money in the Pocket!!!

Correct me If I am wrong but isn't that a virago?

  6. i could call and ask but i have done that in the past ( Not the same shop) and they will promise you anything and everything if you tell them that you are interested in one of their bikes. I am not going to tell the name of the shop but i ended up waiting 11 months for the book and the plate so that is why i would like to heat from some one who has actually bought a bike from K-speed or know some body who has.

PS. Sorry about the angry face :D

You don't have to say the name- we all know it rhymes with BIRA :D:D:D

Except you actually got a plate? Hmmm, then maybe it's someplace else... :)

Haha Tony you are wrong it doesn't rhyme with Bira but i know the shop you you are talking about. Thanks for the link.

  7. Bikerbob. i'm sorry i blew up. i've been stuck in the UK waiting for a flight home and you were an easy target. sorry. I do not know any one who has bought a bike from k speed so cannot answer.

Haha now i understand. Don't worry about it. You are right i could call and ask but i have done that in the past ( Not the same shop) and they will promise you anything and everything if you tell them that you are interested in one of their bikes. I am not going to tell the name of the shop but i ended up waiting 11 months for the book and the plate so that is why i would like to heat from some one who has actually bought a bike from K-speed or know some body who has.

PS. Sorry about the angry face :)

  8. I have built many bikes, welded many frames. Raked, stretched, shortened - no problem. If the welder is skilled, and the frame is straight, it is a non-issue. The question is why did it break in the first place. Prior damage ? Poor initial welds ?

Correct the welding isn't the problem but finding a good welder might be.

  9. Went there twice last year and will not go again, found it to be the most depressing place to go. Staff were rude and customers were all old pi**ed guys that had split from their 20 yo bar girl from Pattaya. Much better place just accros the road, and cheaper too.

Only been there once about three years ago and ended up walking across the road to the Norwegian place.

I don't know if the place is/was good or bad it just wasn't my cup of tea.

  10. Ahhh beauty, another Harley ripping thread..... :) . You've got to realise that Harley riders will defend their rides to no end, afterall they've mostly forked out huge sums of money to buy that half tonne of shiney steel and leather. Apparently when you buy one you get 50,000 baht worth of technology and 1.5mil baht worth of reputation for every new ride purchased :D .

    :D :D :D :D :D :D
