  1. You're simply wrong and don't have credible links to prove it. The number of people in Kharkiv cheering these war crimes on must be vanishingly small.
  2. Russia squeezes Kyiv as 'unimaginable' tragedy looms in Ukraine https://www.rawstory.com/russia-invasion-kyvi-ukraine/
  3. Russia’s bioweapon conspiracy theory finds support in US. Russia’s baseless claims about secret American biological warfare labs in Ukraine are taking root in the U.S. too, uniting COVID-19 conspiracy theorists, QAnon adherents and some [others]. ---- That hasn’t stopped the claim from being embraced by some on the far-right, by Fox News hosts, and by groups that push debunked claims that COVID-19 is a bioweapon created by the U.S. https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-covid-science-health-donald-trump-0f535c2e136cacab85cfd269dc3124f2
  4. Deutsche Bank to wind down in Russia, reversing course after backlash. Fabio De Masi, a former member of the Bundestag and a prominent campaigner against financial crime, said that Deutsche Bank had close ties to the Russian elite, many of whom faced sanctions and that the relationship, where it involved criminal Russian activity, had to end. https://www.reuters.com/business/deutsche-bank-ceo-gets-20-pay-rise-2021-2022-03-11/
  5. Putin is backed into a corner and must not lose or he is a dead man. He has nothing to lose and we know what authoritarian would be dictators will do when they see they have lost. Putin will press the button rather than lose because he has the psychosis common to fascists. Either sanity will prevail in Russia or we will again experience the scourge of uncontrolled machiavellianism.
  6. They aren't Russians. Putin is afraid of too many Russians being killed in Ukraine. It's not a good look back home. Syrians don't matter apparently and Assad is on the hook so will provide cannon fodder.
  7. "The only scenario that is really going to work is one in which Russia pulls out of Ukraine but we find some kind of mechanism to make Putin feel like he's gotten something out of this, https://www.rawstory.com/fiona-hill-ukraine/
  8. The article says that Russia has shown willingness to come to the aid of the oligarchs.

  10. The U.N. human rights office said on Friday it had received "credible reports" of several cases of Russian forces using cluster munitions in populated areas in Ukraine, adding that indiscriminate use of such weapons might amount to war crimes. https://www.reuters.com/world/un-rights-office-has-credible-reports-russian-cluster-bomb-use-ukraine-2022-03-11/
  11. U.S. President Joe Biden on Friday will call for an end of normal trade relations with Russia and clear the way for increased tariffs on Russian imports as punishment for its invasion of Ukraine. The move would be coordinated with G7 countries and require an act of Congress https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/us-steps-up-pressure-russia-over-ukraine-invasion-2022-03-11/
  12. Nobody on his side is condemning his comments either. It's crickets.
  13. Is he the same Madison Cathorn who has just been caught driving while disqualified again? Anyway, I digress. The worrisome thing is that Putin will have to face a war crimes trial regardless of the outcome so I don't think he'll back down anytime soon. As the war crimes mount I see the Russian astro turfers increasingly taking a back seat. It's unfortunate that they see this site as an opportunity to spread their propaganda lies. Nobody here is neutral now. Never have been. Proclaiming so is just part of the propaganda itself.
  14. I think this rather sad actually. I believe it's also a pretext by Facebook to allow other forms of hate speech as well. FB are notorious for permitting misinformation and conspiracy theories.
  15. A Russian air strike has killed dozens of civilians queuing for food in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, an investigation has found. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-03-11/russian-dumb-bombs-kill-innocent-ukrainians-queuing-for-food/100900146

  17. Got any evidence that there are bio weapons labs in Ukraine? It's extraordinary unlikely and fanciful to suggest there are.
  18. The propaganda is that the labs are weapons research so that claim is equivalent to the lie that Iraq had WMD. You are trying to imply that the opposite is true which doesn't make sense. Just as the US could not prove there were WMD neither can the Russians prove that the labs are weapons research facilities.
  19. This propaganda is borrowed directly from the playbook argument that legitimate research into zoonotic behaviour of viruses in China was somehow a "gain of function" and led to coronavirus. The irony is that it's in everyone's interest to understand how infectious diseases and viruses develop and spread. It is rooted in the insanity that science is somehow evil.
  20. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday embraced calls for an international war crimes investigation of Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, citing the “atrocities” of bombing civilians, including a maternity hospital. https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-duda-andrzej-duda-kamala-harris-europe-792555553cca39ef9e1b4f1e7f8cebe6
  21. The United States on Wednesday denied renewed Russian accusations that Washington was operating biowarfare labs in Ukraine, calling the claims "laughable" and suggesting Moscow may be laying the groundwork to use a chemical or biological weapon. Like many other countries, Ukraine has public health laboratories researching how to mitigate the threats of dangerous diseases affecting both animals and humans. https://www.reuters.com/world/russia-demands-us-explain-biological-programme-ukraine-2022-03-09/
  22. The United Nations nuclear watchdog says it has lost touch with the remote systems that monitor nuclear material at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine, the second plant in as many days. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-03-10/un-watchdog-lose-data-chernobyl-zaporizhzhia-nuclear-power-plant/100898202
