  1. Great city!!
  2. I was using it in the nautical sense. "The correct past tense of the verb pay is paid, as long as the word is used in the financial or transactional sense. If the verb pay is used in a nautical sense, the correct form is payed." https://www.grammarly.com/blog/paid-payed/
  3. I have to admit some Chinese are oblivious to there rude and obnoxious actions. Example: Groups of them walking down the sidewalk literally knocking people down, cutting lines at 7/11, putting chicken bones under the bed, etc., Perhaps a little attitude adjustment was in order. Especially if he did hit the girlfriends with his car/motorcycle and tried to defer blame. On the other hand this guy sounds like a psychopath.
  4. That's a little leap forward.
  5. I'm not a liquor drinker but I'm all for open markets. It'll lower prices and create jobs. Amazing how the duopoly has managed to get away with this. The Junta definitely had a hand in the till creating such an awful scenario.
  6. Now I understand why Thailand needs obsolete submarines with the wrong engines.
  7. I think they meant the gold snatcher.
  8. It already is. Thailand's current junta keeps throwing them back across the border.
  9. It's horrible for the people who we're finally enjoying prosperity and freedom under Aung San SUU Kyi. It's absolutely beautiful country that not unlike Thailand keeps having the military come in and overthrow the electric governments. What a sad history.
  10. I guess 4 old people without an education and payed by the junta could be called a protest.
  11. Overtures to China, Myanmar, and Russia surely don't help.
  12. Wife loves the Korean dramas, romances, and comedies.
  13. Definitely. You'll have Russians pushing prices up there and in Pattaya.
  14. If you plead guilty to many offences in Thailand your sentence is reduced to half. Unfortunately, 6 years is a short term for rape.
  15. Not only break up a duopoly but to get rid of that swill garbage they call beer.
  16. You're correct. Point taken.
  17. "Less deadly than delta? In some states, omicron caused more deaths" https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/omicron-caused-deaths-delta-northeastern-states-rcna29394 However Delta and Omicron are no longer major variants.. "Currently, the dominant variant nationwide is XBB.1.5, with 64% of cases, followed by XBB.1.16, with 14.3% of cases, and XBB.1.9.1 with 9.2% of cases. "The original omicron variant is gone now," https://www.nebraskamed.com/COVID/what-covid-19-variants-are-going-around It's good your taking precautions. I've had it twice no big deal besides having to isolate from our kids and my wifes elderly mother. I personally don't wear a mask everywhere unless I entered a hospital. I enjoy your posts in any case. Stay healthy!
  18. Many of these villages have open garbage dumps. Batteries, dead animals, old pesticide containers are littered everywhere. The majority of villigers won't pay a small fee (100 baht a year in our village) to have pickup service. The Majorproblem is lack of education of proper waste disposal. You can see that everyday with the burning of trash instead of garbage can pickup. A lot of the problems are traced back to the residents themselves.
  19. As usual nothing to back up your claims. Are you new to the forum or just assume everything takes your innocuous claims at face value? Just pure nonsense!
  20. Oh please. Get over yourself. Looks like you've been conned by a bunch of YouTube conspiracy theorists.
  21. What a joke. Sooner South East Asia buries these military dictators the better.
  22. Nah. Just following your brainless posts gives me nausea enough. XBB is the newest variant.
