  1. So overpriced. (Overtaxed. Definitely takes a toll on upper end restaurants and bars. Overcharging is actually going to deter high end tourists. Forget the weed, most HiSo prefer good drink. Chinese will drink anything.
  2. The government should have always allowed Hospitals and pharmacies to purchase there own medicine. Thailand would have been in a much better position a year or two ago.
  3. There not contractors. Usually a few relatives hurriedly putting up a wall for a relative for a few hundred baht. RIP little guy. My son is the same age is next to me now. I can't imagine the intense sorrow felt by everyone.
  4. I only know of a few people that haven't had COVID. Two years ago I didn't know anyone who had had it. Our pre school just down for a week because of "foot and mouth" disease. Common for kids under 5 in Issan.
  5. I'll check that out. Troypoint. Com, a website with great information on installing apps for cord cutters. Good step by step instructions. Unfortunately lots of advertising, but the guy's got to make money someways.
  6. Either way, I've got no electricity to run the air-conditioning as we're being hit hard by storms tonight. Luckily we've got a generator for some fans.
  7. Mitsubishi and Mitsubishi Heavy Duty are actually two different companies. Both are excellent products as per the usual Japanese build quality.
  8. Hitachi is a good company with great aftermarket service. We use Hitachi water pumps and they rarely breakdown. When they do we've had to send them to Bangkok to be fixed. Easy peasy.
  9. I've tried a few Daikon inverters and they just couldn't handle the high heat and humidity. Luckily the supplier took them back and exchanged them for our current Mitsubishi's. Perhaps you have had better luck than we had.
  10. Check automatic gates on Lazada. They've got many motherboards and entire motors for sale. Newer models for under 3500 baht that you can use your smart phone to open (also has fobs). The repair guy charged me 500 baht a fob. Interesting subject. I'll be needing a new one I suppose after 5 years or so. Good luck.
  11. Don't forget Mitsubishi. As long as you keep them well maintained they'll last a long time. I stay away from inverters for and brand because they seem to struggle with the combination of heat and humidity that Thailand is renowned for.
  12. Probably just ignorant tourists who somehow think there standing up for "freedom". Usual suspects.
  13. You'll definitely get a bad time traveling the BTS or other public transportation without a mask. Only an idiot would do that.
  14. Better than wearing your jacket over your face.
  15. I see signs along the roads with that fat general with a thumbs up. Red X across his face many of the Posters every 1/2 kilometers. Thousands of them. What a freaking waist of money.
  16. I'm suprised it's gone over so smoothly with the regular Thai folks. I was expecting more negative response. Other countries revolt when Food or energy prices increase.
  17. That's airport has had major problems. https://thepointsguy.com/news/klm-amsterdam-schiphol-airport-baggage/
  18. PSI Thailand can put in a satellite dish and a box for a one time cost. PSI Thailand also has dongles or boxes for sale on Lazada. It's Thai TV. We've got it but everyone watches YouTube, Netflix, or easily pirated streaming movies with our Smart TV's. In my opinion YouTube has everything you want. Plenty of Thai TV or anything else for that matter. Of course you'll need Wifi.
