  1. @bangkokspurs I had a 1 pm appointment so I wasn’t gonna queue up at the first desk. I had the main forms from the previous year (I always take a fresh set away). The ‘big’ lady who checks the paperwork handed me the extra 2 forms each time and similarly to not signing the copies of my passports until she stamps them, I feel it gives her something to do/find an issue with. I'm not sure if the main information desk has the two additional forms. They didn’t have last year.
  2. Hi Just some feedback on my extension with my annual Retirement visa (800k) at Changwattana. I had a 1 pm appointment. The big lady who checks the documents asked (as she does each year) for me to draw a map, but I redirected her to the stack of documents I had given her and she found both a google-map printout and a hand drawn map. It was hassle free. Printing of the Appointment Form TM 7 - This time I completed it on my computer and printed it out Update Photo (I used same as last year) Passport copy Passport copies of the front page showing given names / Passport number / Hologram or Photo copy Current Visa (original Non-O Retirement visa from several years ago) copy Current Extension copy Last Entry Stamp copy Proof of Address: Copy of House owner Tabian Ban (signed by Wife/Landlord) and copy House owner's ID card (signed by Wife/Landlord) copy Rental Agreement (I have to renew it each year. Last time she let me away with an expired rental agreement) copy Map pinpointing and detailing Address (Google Maps & hand-drawn) Copy Bank Statements & sign each page. copy update Bankbook to today's date (make a transaction) get Letter from Kasikorn (the day before) copy (did not ask for) my latest 90-day reporting update slip - TM47 (seems to be new) copy (did not ask for) my most recent TM30 residency confirmation receipt After 40 mins I did follow up the delay and 2 minutes later got my passport back. The only annoying issue was taht the air-conditioning should be better. I also did my 90 Day report (appointment) as I had returned to Thailand from abroad. It's now done on the 2nd floor. You have to get a token from Reception but I didn't have to join the slow moving queue as I just showed them my printed appointment and they handed me the token. If another appointment is called before your time and if the person is not there, maybe take a chance and see if she will allow you to be seen before your appointment. There was no issue when I tried. I didn't have a Re-entry Permit appointment but at 14:30, I was seen immediately after getting a queue number. It took 25 minutes to get the passport back. If anyone has any questions wrt Changwattana and 800K renewal, I’ll try to help, if I can.
  3. @docinbangkok very much appreciated that you took the time to post your experience. It will help many TVM. My visit will be mid October. could you specify which visa extension, marriage based v retirement.
  4. @DrJack54 Thanks for the reply. The OP was never about whether I had successfully got an appointment or not. "7:30 am this morning and I was lucky to get the last appointment for October 20 for my visa renewal (Retirement)" The OP was trying to establish when the system is updated. We know it's 30 days in advance, but we were trying to specify a time. I will try at 00:01 and see what my experience is and report back. Thanks for the replies.
  5. @bamnutsak Maybe you are new to this forum. That's sweet. Thanks for the reply. It's not unusual for bored members to post 'funny/sarcastic' replies or replies specific to their IO in the sticks, not CW. @DrJack54 You are a bit confused today. The question is, when does Immigration update its system to make new appointments available? At the moment, the system is live until October 20. So the question is when will CW make October 21 available online for bookings. @bamnutsak is saying its 00:01 based on his experience. If that is correct then I would 'stay up' until midnight to make an appointment.
  6. @bamnutsak Set alarm for 00:01. Could you confirm this is based on your experience wrt online bookings at CW or you are just guessing?
  7. @DrJack54 Thanks for the reply. Any idea when they make the slots available? As in 2am, 6am. Would be handy to know. 12 month bank statement - I know you are referring to monthly transfers because we have chatted before, but please amend the good advice to include that it relates only to monthly transfers rather than 800k in the bank. It will confuse many TVM. Note: The banks don't open till 8.30 so you will need to all your banking stuff day or two prior. 1. Bank Letter 2. 12 month bank statement (if utilising monthly transfers)
  8. @Tod Daniels @DrJack54 does anyone know when (time) Immigration CW releases new appointment slots each day or does it vary? 7:30 am this morning and I was lucky to get the last appointment for October 20 for my visa renewal (Retirement).
  9. Hi Any TVM know of a Starbucks with a garden or river view? Google suggests River City and Icon Asian. For the regular posters - We have been given a voucher and yes we know that Starbucks is ……. Also any TVM know of a local coffee shop with a garden or river view in BKK accessed by MRT or BTS. Thanks
  10. @brewsterbudgen maybe report back if bank statements were needed in addition to copies of the bank book when you have done your renewal and mention if you use 800k or 65k monthly.
  11. @DrJack54 CW now request 12 month bank statements in additions to copy of the bank book? 2024 800k they were happy with Bank book copies.
  12. @brewsterbudgen B100 and at any branch and done on the spot. I will be doing mine mid October and will check a few days before if the branch nearest me will do as they did last year. Things change and as this is not my actual branch I will double check a few days in advance.

Hi Anyone recently seen (supermarket) or purchased Magners cider in Bangkok or online? Thabks.
  14. @DrJack54 your assistance is appreciated but please do it in a polite way.
  15. @DrJack54 why would I have to do the extension first? Would the 90 day notification lapse at the end of my current Visa?
  16. @DrJack54 Thanks for the replies. Im hoping to do 90 days first, then annual extension and then ReEntry permit
  17. @DrJack54 When was reentry date? Its ok, I wasn't sure if 14 or 15 days. The 90-day reporting is being done on a different floor at Changwattana, but same building as the main Immigration?
  18. Hi Changwattana Immigration. The 1st 90-day report upon returning to the kingdom has to be done in person. Is it 14 or 15 days in advance of the notification date? I'm trying to do both my annual visa renewal and the 90-day on the same day via online bookings. Thanks
  19. Finlaco replied to NoshowJones's topic in Bangkok
@NoshowJones alight one stop before Morchit BTS at Saphan Khwai BTS. It’s more direct from here because of the road layout and traffic flows better from here to Mor Chit bus station. ought to be zero chance of being taken advantage off, if you can speak basic Thai as you hail a passing taxi.

    @PMZ thanks

Hi Any TVM had an experience in Bangkok getting a three seat sofa cushions re-upholstered? Any recommendations ? Thanks
  22. @BrandonJT thanks for the reply. It’s and keeping with what the ChatGPT said. I was just double checking.
  23. Hi What Visa number do I use when I have an an annual retirement Visa extension? Is it the number written on the re-entry permit, the original Retirement Visa or when last extended? Thanks
  24. @jacey unfortunately the situation is when you return to Thailand from abroad you have to do the first 90 day in person.
  25. Hi I completed the 90 days yesterday for CW online. Approved this afternoon. I'm just letting members know that it was very quick this time. FYI I have not been out of Thailand in the last 6 months
