Today the Canon EOS 450 D Arrive! Gulp, I must learn all the functionalities, need some time. Overall impressions, light, easy to point and shoot, lot of plastic. Very simple bundled lens (18-55).
Ok , is 11.30, lets go Chaloklum to start shoot!
Now I must start to spend some more money (70-300, polar. filter, etc.) sigh
Good luck with your new camera .....Chaloklum is a target rich environment to break it in. Take your time and learn the camera
and by that time you'll have some more budget and be thoroughly convinced of any additional lenses you may wish to have.
Whenever you visit a camera shop take your Canon 450D with you and an empty card. Many shops will let you try out the
lenses while you are in the shop and then you can go home and examine the pics to get a feel for what its like to shoot with
a wide range of lenses. Please post some pics when you have a chance.

same muddy look out the doors
At some point in the process you might try and magic lasso the
doorway and window with photoshop and bring back the detail.
The picture is a testament to the beauty and depth of tone that HDR can reveal.
I enjoy doing people pics with the process that you mostly only see used with
landscapes for obvious reasons.

The cropped photo shows off the two strengths of the original.
The angle of the cropped photo still maintains depth and leads you to the subject.
The other elements of the original were not as visually pleasing hence the need for the crop. IMHO

Took the Camera for a spin today and thought this one may suit the Photo challenge.

The third shot of the Rickshaw shop was one of my favorites when I looked at your
Flickr site. An amazing wealth of shots. So many guys on this site have been doing
photos for years and are very well established. I have really enjoyed seeing many
of the posts and looking at the data from the pics.

Nice flavor to both pics. More please when you have time.
I'm guessing the second pic is of the new airport....

Nice shot of Pattaya beach. You'll have a ton of fun with the high ISO ablity of this camera (12,800)
I dont do so much with video but its always a nice feature. One tip.....use the wrist strap and tell others
that help you take pics to use it.....they dont bounce... . Post some more pics of Pattaya sometimes
with it as things are changing there all the time....looked like a few too many empty seats under the
umbrellas

I think to price is 1,095,000 baht for the
car. If this nice young lady would move
I could have gotten a better look.
Somehow she blocked every shot.

Rules....!!!
I declare there are no rules...... no limit to the number of images........true HDR and pseudo (tone mapped) are allowed.
Fill ya boots!
pseudo HDR is allowed according to Fabianfred. pseudo HDR is Single Source Image HDR
-
Guys I must apologize, somehow I left the Bangkok Motor Show
With almost no car pics……..
-
This image is lit by flash isn't it.....can a flash image make an HDR image??
I'm not jealous of your 5D mkII........ No!.... really I'm not!.... well....Ok then....I am........
I created 3 images from one flash photo, one underexposed one normal exposure and one over exposed
and used CS3 merge HDR. I must say I have really enjoyed reading about this process online and the
many techniques of sampling the image to achieve HDR. Fabianfred the camera is yours to BORROW anytime.

Vulcan I had the first on the block to own it shock but firmware updates have taken
care of some initial problems. I have decided not to use the video feature for the
most part. It gets the camera pretty hot. I like the lower profile compared to the
1DS MII that I shot with before this...

A couple of my shots from this years motor show.
I used all canon 5D mark II, 580EXII Flash and the
24 - 105.....

The canon 5D is a sweet machine in your hands.
Thanks for sharing! The only thing that would have
made the slide show even better would have been
some smooth jazz playing as the pics rolled by.
