  1. Hi, no one is answering OP's question (to which I have the same question!!) - Does any know / use an agency in BKK that does 90-day reporting? Preferably located in Asoke/Ploenchit/Chit Lom area? I appreciate that everyone has an opinion of the online system, etc. but when it doesn't work, I prefer to pay someone instead of wasting my time. Thanks.
  2. Has anyone else experienced their Chase Bank (USA) credit cards no longer being allowed on Food Panda? I previously had a Chase Visa card be blocked, so switched to a Chase Master Card. Now both are blocked. A different Visa card is working though. Cheers
  3. Had a similar surgery at Kasetsart University in Bangkok. Inexpensive and amazingly good experience. Highly qualified doctor.
  4. Thanks. I just looked at Roojai and they look much better than what I'm being quoted. My car is similar to yours except 14 years old and only 250K value. Thanks for the information, much appreciated!
  5. May I ask how you got these quotes? I'd like to request the same for my car. These look much better than what I received from LMG.
  6. In my car insurance renewal, I noticed that the limit for "Liability for Property Damage" is only THB 1,000,000 (THB 1M). Upon checking with several different companies, I've found that this is the normal offered amount. However, it seems very low to me considering that most cars are easily worth much more than that and an accident may involve multiple cars, etc. On the other hand, I can't imagine most Somchai's having any more than this. Is this what most people have? Also, has anyone been in an accident where the costs exceeded the insurance liability? If so, what happened? As a farang, should it be much higher? Advice?
  7. Young and dumb shouldn't result in 33 years lost. I hope there's a compassionate pardon that will reduce this to the 3-4 years maximum it deserves. Jails shouldn't lock up stupid, they should lock up evil and dangerous. She's already smarter and should be given a 2nd chance to benefit society.
  8. I feel your pain. I can envision that someday I'll be in the identical situation (no Thai gf though, just not be able to take him) and have asked myself the same question. Many of the posts here remind me of anti-abortionists - very ready to tell someone else it's immoral and to keep the baby, but not ready to step up, adopt, and take the responsibility themselves. Just as I think it's merciful to put a dog down whose health or circumstances don't allow it the joy of being a dog (chasing sticks and food, marking territory and feeling safe and secure with their pack, etc.), the dog's mental health needs to be considered. My dog has been with me since its birth, and I don't think it will "easily adapt" without me. I was once with a dog whose mate was killed, and she wept and was depressed for weeks - just like a human, and wasn't the same afterwards (eventually she ran away and I never saw her again -- did she die a miserable death?) I know that I will feel better knowing that my dog is not suffering somewhere.
  9. There's a clinic in the "Interchange" (not "Exchange") building that's connected to the BTS via the walkway across the street. Go inside and down to the ground floor.
  10. Hi, I'm interested in the Thailand Elite Visa, but when I google dozens of dubious sites show up, with different ones claiming to be "official". For example: ThailandElite.com, Thailand-Elite.com, ThailandEliteVisas.com etc.. Which IS the official site? Has anyone worked with them and can vouch for the correct contact address?
  11. Has anyone received a refund for their PSAS PCR-tests? They say my refund is with their "accounting department" but I'm wondering if that really exists or not. After seeing the crappy design, bugs, and poor information on their website, I don't really trust PKCD. Just saying....
  12. You are correct. There's an ongoing problem with online credit card transactions in Thailand. This is a known problem with certain banks and certain cards. I've been tracking this for the past month and have verified the same with numerous other people. I keep hoping the credit card companies will notice the sudden drop in online payments and begin investigating what is wrong.
  13. OP, I feel your pain and ignore the other comments that this is your fault. I experienced the same problems with both Thailand Pass and PSAS. My only suggestion is to use AQ.IN.TH as previously suggested. I did and they are legit. I got my approval less than an hour after I contacted them. Regarding 2nd PSAS test, if you use this website: PSAS - Swab Center you can see if you are eligible for the free test. As I posted elsewhere, try a Mastercard or a different Visa for PSAS payment. There's an ongoing problem with online credit card transactions (not really related to just PSAS, but they are affected by it). And, yes, both Thailand Pass & PSAS websites are horrible and an embarrassment to the process. My only thoughts of why tourists are using them are a) they are using knowledgeable (and patient) travel agents, or b) they got lucky. If I didn't need to get home, I'd have given up long ago. Lastly, I reapplied for my wife 30 hours before our flight and receive her (2nd) approval about 9 hours before we arrived (but after we departed!). So, I think they approve in priority of ARRIVAL date but don't consider that they need to approve before DEPARTURE. Amazing Thailand, indeed.
  14. What's really annoying is that for those of us who've already paid for the 1st PCR test CANNOT just pay for the 2nd using PSAS's sh***y website. You must again pay for BOTH PCR tests at once - and then presumably apply for a refund for the 1st one that was already purchased! Of course, the joy comes when you click PSAS refund button and discover that their website doesn't allow a refund for the 1st test only! ha-ha-ha. Amazing Thailand. Other tips: use Chrome, use a MasterCard, and if the payment is unsuccessful, you must start from the beginning or else you get a website error. Oh - and this great fun for those of us who submitted our Thailand Pass applications before December 22 but not yet approved - only to be rejected on the 22nd because of the rule change! You have to love it!!
  15. To answer the OP's issue: Thailand has been having issues processing ONLINE transactions for VISA cards for the past month or so. This issue was also highlighted in a Reddit forum and many other people have confirmed this also. We've been seeing the same problem with Lazada, Food Panda, etc.. The problem doesn't seem to be connected to "Verified by Visa" as others have called them. It seems to be with the credit card processing of one or more local banks. I had the same issue with PSAS and solved it by using a MASTERCARD not a VISA card. I hope this helps.
