  1. Well they tried seeding the air with more chemicals. What else can they do? The long term effects of air pollution are known the only thing not know is the death rate in Thailand due to pollution. Crippling illness can also be measured by developed countries. We have grown to expect coverups and blue sky (no pun intended) happy numbers from the government. However, you have to be blind not to see deadly pollution right in front of our faces. This is a dictatorship. Dictate. Remover older vehicles from the road, restrict burning and begin to monitor factories for death contributions.

  2. I kid you not. I accidentally found out where this idea comes from. Playing now on True Visions:  Robot Overlords (2014)

“Alien robots come to Earth and assert their control over humanity. They claim that they only want to observe humanity. They enforce a strict no one allowed outside rule. They implant humans with a device that alerts sentries to anyone who goes outside and if they refuse to comply they are destroyed.”

Mr. Ginsing it one out of touch, sad and an angry man who may be crying for help. I hope he gets the help he needs.

This is is a terrible tragedy and the perpetrator(s) will be punished. There is NO excuse to beat a man to death.

Condolences to the families torn apart.

    RIP.

  4. "At the meeting it was revealed that the death toll on Thailand’s roads in 2016 was 22,356 - that was 2,877 up from the figure for 2015 which was 19,479.

Also last month, more damning statistics issued by the Don’t Drink Drive Foundation revealed that on average 61 people are killed every day on Thailand’s roads."

So the genius at the Don't Drink Drive Foundation began and ended extensive research by borrowing a calculator, dividing the total number of road deaths in 2016 by 365 days in a year. This led to even "...more damning statistics....61 people are killed every day on Thailand's roads." Both studies are exactly the same.
    How is that "more damning"

So now we can be known as The Hub Of Road Deaths?

  5. The Nation didn't mention the urine people had to endure while in the 4 hour plus line.  No accountability but dangle 4 new counters in front of us and we beg for more.  The problem is as I see it manning the counters you have.  If they can't do an entry in one to two minutes shut the whole thing down.  No flights in or out until they get the mess cleaned up.  The staggering losses will get everyone's attention.  I hope the quality tourists start wearing diapers  so they don't have to urinate in a corner.  It would be wise to sell them on every arriving flight at all the airports.

  6. As you said ... employ managers who can manage properly and organize properly.
But it's not Khun Prayuth Chan O Cha's fault so his remarks as always are completely only directed at the leader and as such rubbish ...

by the way ...    what does instructive mean  ?  ...  lol

Total BS. The General has taken on all problem and issues more directives than any junta leader in history. He includes orders covering girls twerking, flooding, suppression of free speech, only ugly woman should wear bikinis, using the cash on hand for expenses instead of borrowing, thought Thai should be the world's universal language, no perp walks, ordered planes, trains, submarines and armored personnel carriers and says the operation of Thailand is his alone. The General is where the buck stops. Remember the Coup a few ago. He is large and in charge. Deal with it. The situation at DM is outrageous And not one person believes the lies but what can you do? Coverup, malfeasance, incompetence, bad attitude, etc. it is on him.

Rubbish, why stay if you dont like it, you have choices but you just whinge.

Someone legitimately complains about something that is in the governments control and seemingly simple to fix so Steven100 asks why stay if you don't like it.  Excellent assessment and solid advice from a veteran TV poster.  I assume everything is perfect for you here, nothing needs to be changed and you've never had a problem with any aspect of Amazing Thailand.  Good on you.  What's a "whinge".

  8. Why should they?......racist is just a confected word (like homophobic) used to shut down debate created by the so-called progressives (Greens, LGBT etc...you know who they are)   who consider themselves liberals but in reality are totalitarians and brook no opposition.

I believe if we are going full Politically Correct here they should be referred to as Criminals of Color (CoC).

  9. you think this achieved anything?

Not ideal by any means but it is a start. I lived on Soi 5 a decade ago. Every 3 weeks back then Soi 3/1 would be raided and most in the area taken away by the BIB. They need to hit the area hard more often to clean up the lower Sukhumvit's "Little Africa" zone they have carved out to ply their crimes.

    Dear Col Natee Sukonrat,

Thank you for your quick reply. I understand that there may be some remedial measures for the True Vision customer however that is not my reason for contacting your office. I want to make sure True Visions Group is investigated for incompetence, unfair business practices and possible criminal negligence as it would apply to the cancelling of the all the HBO Channels and Cinemax.

This is not an isolated incident. Several years ago True Visions did exactly the same illegal act by cancelling the ASN channel with absolutely no notice to subscribers. This effectively blocked consumers from American football from October through February. Again a couple of years ago True Visions lost the English Premier League games to CTH that threw soccer coverage into disarray for almost two years. These are not isolated incidents that should be allowed to be swept under the carpet only to occur again in a few short months. If not your commission who should I file a complaint with to try to stop this pattern of illegal activity by the True Visions Group?

Col Natee Sukonrat, chairman of the NBTC's broadcasting committee, said that The committee will ask its broadcasting consumers protection department to talk with the company about remedial measures for its customers, which may include allowing customers to change or cancel their subscription packages. NBTC will announce about remedial measures on broadcasting as soon as possible.

Subject: Formal Complaint Against True Visions Group Company Limited

To: Office Of The National Broadcasting Telecommunications Commission

This correspondence is to serve as a formal complaint citing The True Visions Group with violation of your rules regarding 30 day notification when a television channel is cancelled. Additionally, a second complaint citing unfair business practices for cheating subscribers of premium movie content, original programming while charging the highest cable and Satellite rates in the Kingdom.

I have been with True Visions (or UBC) for more than 13 years. True Visions has consistently sold its premium packages touting HBO and Cinemax, with their outstanding award winning original programming, as the "BEST" available anywhere. True Visions also sell premium packages by offering same day broadcasts as the USA for some of the original programming content.

As you read this complaint True Visions is advertising HBO as next year’s Academy Awards channel. How will True Visions provide subscribers with the Academy Awards, original programming such as Westworld, Game of Thrones, Divorce, Vice Principals and Veep? The list goes on and on.

At the very least this debacle reeks of corporate incompetence boarding on criminal negligence. How long was NBTC kept in the dark about negotiations for the now cancelled HBO/Cinemax channels? As a premium content subscriber I read about this fiasco online as a rumor yesterday.

Question need to be answered from the subscribers and the NBTC regarding good faith negotiations not readily apparent in this case. True Vision continues to cheat subscribers. I bring up the English Premier League True Visions/CTH chaos from just a couple of years ago. Who made money by failing to win the bid for EPL content? It was True Visions of course. Meanwhile your lack of intervention drove fans to illegal downloading of EPL games, illegal satellite services and exposed CTH as a company that could not provide promised services.

Do not let True Visions walk all over the NBTC again. True Visions will continue with bait and switch tactics, negligence and/or criminal activities until such time the government steps in and puts a stop to these questionable business practices. This is just another True Visions embarrassment to the Kingdom of Thailand that should not be ignored yet again.

    Sincerely,
