It seems rather sad that the beheaders of Budhhist monks and beheaders of the elderly poor in the South would be treated so casually. Do others think that this idea floated by General Sondhi and General Surayud will make the insurgents happy? Forgive and forget is a noble concept. But immediate amnesty seems odd for the brutal killers of the women who was burned alive just last week.
maybe it is his idea of "if you ignore it, it will go away" seems like a fairly solid thai concept.

i do't want to get too far into my personal situation, but a similar topic was raised between me and my wife, and she said she doesn't know how she would feel until after the fact.
i've stayed faithful, but there was a point where marriage really started to bore me. i'm glad now that i was a good boy.
(edit grammar fix...)

i like the title of the thread "Warning to women: Liar is online" as if women were cluless to the fact...
Maybe the communications ministry would like to ban all liars in chatrooms along side YouTube
wouldn't that be called "A Crackdown On Liars"???

sorry, i read the OP and didn't bother with comments made because my question is 'same same, but different'...
i have debt 'occured after marriage' from a bank in the US. so would that debt be split in case of a breakup?
(hypothetical question)

He said that while Thailand may have a problem in dealing with alien workers, hilltribes and unrest in the South, it is not a case of racial discrimination and any state actions have been in line with international standards.
they may also have a problem with Isaan, farang, darker skinned people than themselves (the list could go on and is extensive.)
i think what this guy is trying to say is that they aren't racist they discriminate against everyone equaly.

'laab goi nuya' is one of my favorite dishes, but i think many farang would shy away from it because it is basically uncooked meat. when i am in a different country and i see people eating or drinking something and not dying from it, i generally (not 100% of the time though) assume that it is safe for me as well.
if i get sick, well then hopeful those memory B blood cells will go to work and protect me for the next time i eat some bar nuts or something else unsanitary.

More Thais depart kingdom by air for Songkran
BANGKOK: -- The number of Thais leaving the kingdom by air for overseas tours and holidays during the Songkran festival has more than doubled, a senior official said Monday.
Suvarnabhumi Airport director Serirat Prasutanond said as this year's Songkran water festival lasted five days, the number of Thais leaving the country for overseas holidays had risen sharply, while the number of foreigners arriving in Thailand remained virtually unchanged.
Normally, around 7,500 to 8,000 Thai nationals leave the country daily and about 25,000 foreigners depart Thailand via Suvarnabhumi airport, said Mr. Serirat. But on April 11 about 11,000 Thais left the country and the number rose to around 18,000 the following day, he said.
Most Thais who had left for overseas tours are expected to return home Monday and Tuesday, he said. Government and most private offices reopen on Wednesday after a five-day holiday, which began last Friday.

so what is the difference? when i was in bangkok it was bumer to bumper for 2 kilometers on any given day. offensive driving is the most effective. no one honks horns anyway (exceptions to every rule)

if you dont like the look of broken glass , then plant some spiny / thorny bushes all the way around the inside of the perimeter wall to make it hard or impossible to get over.
plant it on the outside of the perimeter. it will make the place look nice and discourage people from walking through a bunch of thornes. the sad fact is that there isn't much you can do to stop someone that is determined to get inside, but you can deter opportunity criminals with a few simple techniques.

Good luck on the old dear
Cute child. I assume you are the parent??
I wonder if your sentiments would be the same if this piece of s#it one day becomes responsible for supplying some illegal narcotic to your child??
Words escape me
you child would be at fault. if someone gets fat from McDonalds do you blame McDonalds or do you blame the fat@$$ that eats the crap.
your child would be the piece of sh#t heroin user.

burried or burned... nah, i want to be used as a stunt double. throw my corps off a cliff, shoot it with bullets. if i can't be a famous actor alive, may as well use me when i'm dead to make awesome action movies. so i guess the answer is burn me (but put it in an thriller or a comedy)

hard to walk out because i am heavily invested in a business on the island (not that i want to walk out, i love her, but sometimes i don't know)

sorry, i've been away from the computer for a while. i've been quite busy today.
to those that asked, i was self medicating with booze.
i forgot that i had even made this post until someone PM me.
my wife admits to problems and i would like to help with those problems but it is becoming increasingly difficult. one day she wants to kill me and the next day she wants to have my babies (bipolar from what i can tell). I've got her on some mood enhancing pills now today, i'll see how those work out.
anyway, don't worry about this post, i was drunk and in a rut. topic should be closed.
thanks for all your advise and sorry to leave you all hanging.

my wife (thai) of 15 months has gone loco in the last few weeks. is there anyhing i can do to revive this love, or should i jump ship before things get worse.
i don't know if they were only words or not, but if i'm not here and posting in a week well then send a search party for my body. i've never heard threats like this before (not that it really scares me cause she is harmless)
but still. i'm not sure what is going on domestically right now... help!!!

does koh tao still run on generators?
-
a few moths back there was a week where i saw the number everywhere and i kind of freaked me out. i'm a revelations guru and enjoy predicting the end of the world based on historical events and the idea of many religions. for those of you interested i've predicted 2012-2015 to be the end. so live life to the fullest and enjoy yourselves while you still can. good thing you're in thailand huh?
-
Someone told me that all of Koh Phangan is run on gas generators because there is no power plant. Is that true? I can't imagine how much that must cost to run if it is. I've never seen anywhere on the island the source of electricity. Can anyone here enlighten me?

i think i mis-spelled the title. Amnity - Amity ???
-
Not that i'm selling my company, but I was thinking the other day that if i were to what would happen to the amity. I own 99.993% of my company so therefore would i be able to transfer that share to a foreigner of a different nationality other than American? Would they legally be able to fully own the company as I do or would they still need to bring in a Thai partner at 51% and take all the risks associated with that?
I'm curious becuase if I ever do sell the company, that would be a very strong selling point wouldn't it?
