Is adultery legal?
1. In Thailand, is adultery a criminal offence? 2. If someone has an affair with a married woman, can her husband sue him? Sue him for damages, or sue him to get him punished? I know he can get a knife and kill him, this is not my question. My questions are the legal aspects.

Digital nomads in Thailand
Many examples quoted in this thread are from 2014 or 2015. At that time, digital nomads were still a bit of a novelty. Today, digital nomads are so mainstream that even a computer illiterate like me has heard about them. So the Thai government has heard about them too, and Thailand did introduce a visa for digital nomads. This visa doesn't fit the lifestyle of many digital nomads (it requires a high income and it may lead to paying taxes). But it clearly shows which kind of digital nomads Thailand wants. Not teachers on Skype. It's similar to Thai tourism: for 20 years they have been stating they want quality tourists. They got Indians and Chinese and Europeans on welfare. They will tolerate the hoi polloi as long as they seem useful. This can be decades.

Digital nomads in Thailand
Can you give one single example for a digital nomad who didn't get away with it?

Bank Taxing 15% - Can I get a refund with tax I
Same here. Took about 3 hours. You can find your local tax office by searching for revenue office or revenue department in Google maps, or ask the motorcycle gang for sampagorn. Don't expect much English there. Same here. Took 8 minutes.

Thai consulate warns against rushed Thai-Chinese marriages
There is only one thing a Chinese man cares about: white skin. So he must be absolutely poor and desperate before he chooses a Thai bride. Vietnamese are much more popular, people from Burma or Laos can be ok. A handsome middle class guy from Beijing isn't interested in Thai brides. An aging farmer from a village in Gansu or Inner Mongolia, maybe.

"Sinogen" somehow doesn't sound Thai to me

Thailand Hikes Entrance Fees for Foreign Visitors at Historical Attractions
Foreigners also pay withholding tax on interest (e.g. from their 800,000 visa bail). Most foreigners don't claim a refund, which can involve a lot of bureaucracy for foreigners. The new (since 2021) property tax is also payed by foreigners. But the elephant in the room is the double-pricing for all kinds of other services, including government services, e.g. medical care. This is where Thailand makes huge profits from the foreigners, after all, if it weren't for the profits they wouldn't let them in.

Denied entry.
It doesn't work like this. Let's say you have a Thai bank account and at the end of each month 58,745 Baht arrive from Happy Lucky Brighter Fortune Co. Purpose of the transfer is stated every time as "salary". Looks a lot like a salary, right? Now let's say you have a Thai bank account and at the end of January you get 75,876 Baht from Happy Lucky Brighter Fortune Co. At the end of February you get 34,364 Baht from them. Purpose is stated as "January 2023", "February 2023" and so on. This goes on every month, except for December, where the money - 123,456 Baht - arrives earlier, at Dec 20th, and is stated as "December 2023 incl. Christmas bonus". Looks like what? Now, if you have a Thai bank account and you get 556,000 Baht on May 15th from Mrs Sabaiguy, stated as "for purchase of used Honda Civic", and on Aug. 7th you receive 300,000 Baht from your own foreign account stated as "living expenses", nobody is going to ask stupid questions.

Abortion in Thailand
This is in addition to the addresses given in the pinned thread: Those addresses work regular office hours, e.g. not on weekends. There may be other complicating factors (e.g. unknown duration of the pregnancy). In these cases, the place to go - its a real hospital and they won't turn people away - is Khlongtan Hospital, near Khlongtan intersection.

Advice needed re Circumcision
14k for adult circumcision at a hospital like Petcharavej is expensive. That's a price I would expect at the international hospitals.

Mid-air drama: Unruly passenger instigates chaos on Thai Airways flight to Frankfurt
I had the same experience with Thai Airways. In midair they behaved even worse. They were very aggressive. That was before covid. Everyone tells me that their service and their attitude have deteriorated a lot since covid. And their cattle class has gotten worse and worse over the years.

Online 90 day report
Same experience as me. And as another poster mentioned, I ended up with 2 90day-slips with 2 different dates for the next 90day report. Got the email-reminder, applied accordingly, and got rejected. Just applied again yesterday, waiting. A bit pointless, indeed.

How to get my tax refund?
Yes, I suppose so, too.

How to move 800000 from savings account to fixed deposit account at the same bank
BTW immigration hotline says, you must withdraw from the old bank and deposit at the new bank on the same day. Not that I would trust them too much...

90 days online not working?
I did this. I got the reminder email for the next 90d notification a couple of days ago. Due date was given as in the online receipt. I applied online 14 days before this due date. Got rejected after 5 days. Reason: "you can apply within 15 days before the due date". So maybe they follow the mail receipt. This is really a PITA.

How to get my tax refund?
I finally made it to my Bangkok Bank Branch. It took 8 minutes to have the check deposited into my account. No waiting for check clearance. No passport required. As simple as making a cash deposit.

At 7/11?

Is there a way to pay using phone via QR codes in 7-11s with local bank accounts?
They understand and will tell you it won't work. Not with the banking apps

Is there a realistic route to PR without being employed in Thailand?
The document requires 10m for the investment visa. Not just 3m which would be very little. Buying a condo doesn't count, government bonds count, as do Thai stocks.

Police Prepare For Nationwide Protests, Parliament Heavily Guarded
All, and I really mean all, Thais I know talk about this to me. They don't talk much. But people I never thought are interested in politics feel strongly enough to spontaneously tell me their feelings. Just out of the blue come sentences like "It's very sad. There was an election and now it's like there was no election." "This is not democratic. This couldn't happen in another country. " And before the vote: "Maybe next time, when you arrive in Thailand, there will be the New Thailand" Asian sentiments.
-
Police Prepare For Nationwide Protests, Parliament Heavily Guarded
They have been named. Yesterday's vote was public, transmitted live over the internet. Every senator or member of parliament was called by name, and then said loud and clearly "in favor", "not in favor" or "i abstain".

Proof of paid withholding tax in English
No, the bank issues paper documentation routinely to every customer who asks for it (people need it if they want to reclaim the withholding tax). It is the form that friendlyfarang provided, but they routinely issue the Thai version. Now that I know that there is an English version of this form, I will ask my bank for the English version.

Proof of paid withholding tax in English
Thank you! This makes a lot of sense. This is the form the bank gave me in Thai. So there exists an English version of this form. I will ask the bank to fill it out for me.
