Easy - before I had a cat I had to set mousetraps every night and they were frequently full in the morning!  After cat - no rats at all.

A fellow I knew seemed like a normal guy, but from things that he and his Thai wife said probably committed insurance fraud and maybe bigamy!  It seems that he took out a life insurance policy and then left his wife and children back in Farangland and moved to Thailand.  His wife then claimed that he had died while overseas and was able to claim the insurance after a few years while he married a Thai woman, had a child and started a new life here. 

He was on about 10 years overstay when he had a heart attack and died.

There are whole neighborhoods in Dubai where the most common job description is businessperson/politician/gangster.

I predict a growing number of socially conservative but economically liberal Pro-Islamic political parties will arise in both the UK and throughout Europe.  With the power to throw their votes to the left or right on different issues they will tend to have a disproportionate power in shaping the future of Europe.

I was betting on Marco Rubio being the first one out, but it looks like I was wrong.  I will still bet that Rubio will end up doing a full 'John Bolton' with a tell-all book and numerous anti-Trump Youtube appearances!

Except that Trump loves the military and usually gives them more money than they even ask for.  Aside from cutting the DEI programs he will probably add a 4th supercarrier fleet! 

Don't expect DOGE to touch the Defense budget, which is probably the most bloated and wasteful part of the Federal Government!

I can speak and read Thai fairly well.  One problem I have is all the regional dialects.  If I drive for two hours away from Bangkok everyone sounds like they are speaking an entirely different language.  My wife wants to move up north when I retire, but I'm not looking forward to having to learn Phasa Nua!
