  1. Step one:bring all sewage treatment plant(s)up to code. Step two:check the sea water for contaminants after the new treatment plant(s) are fully functional...as if that was ever going to happen.
  2. Lack of education on how to handle this situation. I propose that the Thai fire departments make regular visits to schools to teach the students about fire safety. Not optimistic.
  3. Do you really think that people in Congress are going to vote themselves out of a job? The proposal been tried before and never got anywhere.
  4. Jungeceylon? As a chemist, not pharmacist, I agree with everything that you said about the properties of this foam when burned.
  5. Foam burns instantly and gives off toxic fumes. Exit doors possibly blocked/locked. Common in nightclubs that charge an entrance fee so that the party people don't let their friends in through the fire exit and avoid the cover charge.
  6. Yes. I remember reading about that fire. I had been in that nightclub several times before the fire. Always wall to wall crowds. Could hardly move. According to the information at the time, a temporary lighting fixture blew up and caught the foam "animals" surrounding the stage on fire. The owners of the nightclub blamed it on a blown transformer just outside the venue on Bangle Road which was quickly disproven. The "Phuket Gazette" posted photos of the charred bodies but were soon taken down. The rumor was that the faulty light fixture is currently at the bottom of the Andaman sea. "Land of cover your ass, not smiles."
  7. Because they get pretty wings on their uniforms after the jump
  8. I agree with your logic. I have tried to explain this logic to several non-scientists and they cannot follow it. The problem is if this data is confirmed later this month, then the public might misinterpret it no longer be concerned with getting vaccinations which would be highly counterproductive.
  9. I read that too. The WHO have been in bed with China for years as a major source of their funding. Wouldn't want to loose money or worse if the Panda bear gets angry.
  10. I'll have to respectfully disagree with you. From my decade of experience with Thais, especially Thai women, I have found that money is their primary goal in life and there is little shame in the culture to care where it came from. I wouldn't be too worried about the feeling of the wealthy overseas. Any evidence?
  11. I was having the same problem with my liver ie. pain from alcohol. Fortunately, here in my state in the USA, medical cannabis is legal and the shops are doing very good business. Since switching to cannabis, my liver lab tests have returned to near normal and the liver pain is permanently gone. Wish Thailand and other countries in the EU and the UK would legalize medical marijuana for the tax revenue if not for the medical benefits.
