UCL - Master's in Microwaves & Modern Optics (space science)
Chula - Studied for an MA in Thai Studies, but I will be honest and say that I only studied 'for fun' and I was not awarded the actual certificate at the end because it carried a $2,000 fee for that bit of paper!! (You farang - you pay more!!)
Yes, you see, Chula is extorting money from us. 😂
However, I like the master at UCL. -

In part, you are right.
But when I selected my previous package, many years ago, I made lots of ordinary phone calls, sent SMS, etc..
I looked at that time what suits my usage and I selected that.
I should/could have switched earlier to something cheaper...
The funny thing that I remember is when I selected my last package, maybe 10 years ago, there were many cheaper options available.
Now, the opposite seems to be true. Many new packages are way more expensive than what I had. And on my DTAC app nothing cheaper was shown. Only after some "investigation" I found out that cheaper packages do exist.
I find it sad that many people will pay a lot more than they should for all these "recommended" and "special for you" packages.
I don´t get this prolonged discussion. The thing here is, that you, and only you, are solely responsible for your choices. You need to know how much you need, and what package that suits you.
Wherever you go in to a shop and talk to a sales person, disregarding country, they will always try and promote their products and sell your a product for as high price as possible.
Just stop in your tries to make the provider, shop or sales person wrong. It´s your choice and your responsibility to know what you need and make the right choices in life. The sales person work for the company, and is not there to hold your hand.- 1

How many Turo-Hayabusa doing a wheelie at over 300km/h did you see recently?
None, actually. Guess that means it´s not that many total idiots that drive Hayabusa.

The benefits of the pink ID are overrated. I have one (I got it for fun) but hardly ever get a chance to use it.
What do you want to use it for?
One thing, that is always a hot potato topic here, it´s good for. You get the same rate as Thais visiting Zoo´s, National parks and other attractions. HURRAY! No more double pricing! What do you say about that guys? Now your wallets will be full of money. 😂
In other words, YES! it´s useless.- 1

Because it's none of a damn business what my lease is it's private matter between me and my tenant especially when she owns her own property company.
Hey! You do understand that there are rules for the building, right? There are also a law that says you must have a rental contract for minimum 30 days for every tenant. The documents she ask for is all about that, and you are bound by law to provide them. If you do not do, she will change code, which is also well within her rights, for protecting other owners and residents as well as upholding both the rules of the internal rules that you have signed as well as the laws of Thailand.
So, at the end it IS her damn business and you will be the one standing with a long nose with tenants having to leave your god damn condo.- 1

They hate us, only now are we seeing highly publicised evidence of this, it was more subtle before. No, they don´t hate us. At least not the ones that bother to be both polite and to read up on the rules and laws of the country they visit. To do that, is especially important regarding Asian countries, that have a very different view of life . What has happened is not that it was more subtle before as that is only what you think you saw. What you saw, was the no enforcement from lazy police and authorities. Now they have more pressure on them to deal with things.

No, not if you only see to living by the rules and laws. That is an easy thing to do for all. However, if you look at the Russian influx. Then it´s at least a no go for me. Looks like same as buying a ticket to Putin-land.

Is there a reward for finding a foreigner on overstay?
Yes, there is. However, you will need a WP for doing that. On the other hand, can´t get one, as it´s an occupation reserved for Thais.

Not a problem. Simple and easy. Just have a government issued photo ID. This is the rule for voting in almost any country in the world. But of course. UK had to be different again.

Your comment was the expected one, and you fell for it.
Now you showed everyone how superior you believe you are. The reality, though, is totally different. However, that is soo far out of your domain of understanding. Better leave it like this.- 1

We can say like this. UN articles are just articles, otherwise they would be filed under laws. Here we are talking recommendations. A country can choose to follow UN´s recommendations or disregard them. They also have to break or violate a lot of articles in very severe ways to be ousted from UN. So, in this case useless. YES!
