  1. Sorry to sound dumb - but what and where is AllStar? (I obviously don't get out enough :()

Allstar is one of the food suppliers for restaurants and hotels. If you enter the Chaweng Lake road from the traffic lights near Tesco and carry on for about 500m it is on the right. I think the second last shop in that row of shops and just before the 7-11 on the corner to the road going to Bangrak. From the outside it looks only like an office but they have their big freezers behind.

whistling.gif Maybe not the best area to buy food - thinking about the rainy season !!

  2. Is it brand new or 2nd hand motorcycle?

Have to check to Customs agent in Europe that they are ok to import 125 cc. to Europe

    and may have some condition.

Export from Thailand is no problem just have to cancel registration from Transport department and have to drain out all engine and fuel and pack in the wooden crate then do export Customs clearance and put to the container (join with other customer)

Export charge will be transportation charge from Samui to BKK port, Export Customs clearance fee, sea freihgt from BKK to Europe and local charge from sea port in Europe and transportation from sea port to final destination.

Price depend on volume of crate calculate sea freight per cubic meter.

Sorry forgot to say , I bought the scooter Jan, 2010, but only driven about 500 km.

Thanks, what about RoRo for bikes ?

  4. I knew a Lee that used to be in bangkok but moved/opened a bar in samui a few years back-youngish, very polite-was into mma?

Oh my............ I met him in May, where he told me to wear a helmet if I absolutely have to ride a bike ! He said he always drives a car, because of too many bike accidents !! I wish him all the best and I hope we can have a game of badminton again !!

  5. the noisy truck adverts is one thing, there is not only the RP advert truck, but Bar Ice, Chaweng Boxing, Petchboon Boxing, Bar Solo and several others if there are events comin' up.

However the RP is one of the well established Samui Institutions, it's Legend, I know it from it's times when it really still was a small pub with a sandpit for a dance floor and since Sergio is the DJ, he is a piece of this institution..... my opinion is that those gentlemen who carry any complains about this entertainment place, look into the magic mirror and think about what makes them so old and think so backwardly... maybe it's "too old to rock 'n roll and too young to die!"

by midnight the Reggea still enjoys it's clientel and they still enjoy the Reggea Pub music, there are choices, Bar Solo, the Green Mango, Ark-bar and more, Samui "Hard Rock Cafe" with it's 70ties Music, there is Roong Beer, and Camp Beer for some local taste... and yes, the red light district bars for "entertainment" with their squeeky girlies and the mind numbing "boom, boom, boom, boo, no money, no sex, no money, no honey, honey, honey" themes - well and then nobody is forced to go to the RP.. and yes another year samui is going through a bad downturn, june is approaching... many places closing, even "Chez Andy" has shut it's doors, the bars in Soi Reggae not only because of lack of customers, but yes beside bad business, being completely flooded twice in within under 4 month time.....

I live very close by, in the area - it never bothered me... I'll go there if I can't sleep, or simply want some fun!

    So true, so true guitar.gif

  6. i would imagine that the fallen rock will have to be removed with the use of dynamite. However, i would strongly suggest the authorities seek foreign help in this procedure, otherwise i can see the entire geography of Lamai be altered. ;)

They appear to be drilling and then using small charges to split the rock rather than massive blasts. One of my clients informed me that they had brought in a small local team who are experienced in this kind of operation and had worked for her before.

In that case i won't be going anywhere near there.

i hope they havent called in these guys

  7. Cheaper...do a better job etc..etc....

    Why else?

I know thats the reason, but I still think many Thais can work for the same salary. I have met some nice Burmese specially in the Restaurants , but all the sales people are just terrible. Worst thing is that many 1st timer tourists to Thailand think the Burmese are Thai .

Not to worry mate...they'll have to take a taxi sooner or later...:(

    :cheesy:
