  1. As Goldfish stated, head towards Nathon from Lamai end, turn left at Raja ferry sign, continue straight down towards the sea, road veers to left, past some hotels on your right, the Transport Department sits on your left, well back from the road.

Was wondering if its possible to do the renewal of my thai car license the same day as I will try to get a bike license ( I already have bike international license ) Is there enough time to do both ? actually , what do I need to bring for a renewal ??

    :)

  2. Thaksin may remain a motivating figure for the red shirts who are asking for a democratic vote. Its ok to say 'let the people vote'.BUT... who for? Thaksin/ Absihit? Both now accused of corruption. I would fear for Thaksin should he ever manage to return to Thailand, powers that be would secure his demise.Absihit?Lost all control over his Country and his military.so who or what is the option?

The Japanese reporter was shot in the chest !!!

  3. theres one rule out here dont lend money to any one, to my cost I have learned the hard way, farangs and thai the same full of promises when you lend the money, but when it comes to paying back same old excuses,so the moral is DO NOT LEND TO ANYONE

I tend to agree with the general rule of thumb - Don’t lend to anyone.

But I have been on both sides of the fence on this one, and have borrowed from some farang mates to get through a certain blip, and then found that the blip took longer to work through and things did not fall into place as expected. Eventually the money was repaid but it took much longer than expected, and some of the reasons for the delays were bad luck, others were probably bad decisions on my part but many were also due to the unusual business environment in Thailand / Koh Samui. Luckily the mates were very patient and because they were living in Samui understood the reasons whereas if I was living back home and got some of my excuses, I would think I was a crooked liar.

So I would say, please consider helping a friend in need as business in Thailand is difficult at times, but obviously make sure you are not desperate for the money to be returned and if possible get a written agreement to repay or some other form of security. Even an English language loan agreement can be enforced in Thailand as long as it is structured properly and is witnessed (and is not at exorbitant rates of interest).

I am reluctant to lend but because of the graciousness of the person who lent to me once, feel it appropriate to consider doing it for others.

Thumps up, mate. Do you wanna be my friend ??? :)

  4. Or can't read! :)

:D The fault lies with incompetent management and both Lotus and BigC are poorly managed. In Lotus when I approached the few items check out counter, the cashier closed it forcing me to queue behind convoys of trolleys. At BigC there are 25 check out lanes and only two being manned ! Trained gibbons would be a better option !

Yeah and both staff has tits and a mustache :D

  5. Anyone know about other squash courts on the Island ?? I was used to play at Santiburi but they got new rules......... I know The Place planned to build , but I dont know how fare they are with their construction.

Anyway, all informations about courts please let me know, thanks.

The Amari has a nice court with A/C cheap too, I've not been for about one year but I hear its still there and open. Its located behind the Italian restaurant

Just checked the Amari and got this answer "We regret to inform you that our squash court is already closed for long time ago."

If you know any other courts please give me the info`s, cheers

  6. OK,

sorry Prasert, you are right. I forgot.

But the truth is, that Thai Visa has made an effort and continues to make an effort to find a venue. While some complain that Thai Visa is not going with a venue they want, the fact is that if Thai Visa is going to be funding this party it only seems reasonable that the terms are amenable to Thai Visa.

I wasn't aware that TV would be funding the party! Seems we are being drip fed info which will contribute to its success.

I still dont get why you dont ask BBC to have to Party, its in Ban Rak, the owner is a TV member , should be easy to arrange. Would love to join, but Im leaving on the 19th :)

  7. but I cant find any email adress or skype number for PICNIC BASKET in Ban Rak, really hope to get some help here.

IF, you wanna sell your SUV let me know ! NO Pickups !!!

    Cheers

Guys, really need some help today Friday.......thanks

  11. Tourist minister says the airport will be opened within 24-48 hours of the PAD clearing it. The airport manager says it will take at least 7 days more to get the airport certification again.

    Who do we believe?

If you check the flight schedule on bangkok airways homepage.........you only get "not operating this day" I even tried on the 23rd of Dec. but same message............... :o
