  1. Always hated other peoples unnecessary noise.....I can listen to a pile driver or jack hammer all day......but someone else's music = red mist time
  2. I never recline...find it quite uncomfortable, unless lay flat.....not sure why airlines even allow seats to recline in economy.
  3. Naughty. I resisted the temptation...555
  4. True....might have been more productive than the various conflicts I/we had.
  5. Express VPN.....never had any issues.
  6. No money, no honey......hated every job I ever had......but I was never unemployed.
  7. Staying Sukhumvit soi 11.......I think the bars and clubs have started these trials a little in advance of the announcement
  8. 555.....pretty close! Did have a guy, obviously quite ill, sat near us. I thought very considerate that he was wearing a mask.....until I saw he removed it every time he wanted to cough....555.
  9. Already had my mid-morning nap. Have to wait for at least two hours for the next one.
  10. Can't......listening to three smart phones, two games consoles and a woman complaining loudly about the noise.....555
  11. Just been travelling for 10 weeks on public transport.......why do people think it is okay to.......... 1. Play games on a console with the speakers on full blast.....usually war games. 2. *Put their smart-phone on speaker to talk to a friend*. 3. Put their smart phone on loudspeaker and listen to their music or watch a movie. 4. Put their feet up on the seat opposite. 5. Sit in an aisle seat, but put their bags on the window seat. 6. Speak as loudly as possible to a friend sat right next to them in a packed, but otherwise totally silent, train carriage. 7. Press their knees hard up into the seat in front on an aircraft. Confessions of a grumpy, miserable, old expat........or understandable complaints? * Someone did explain to me that women do this to avoid smudging their makeup.
  12. I think this is a serious case of CBA combined with the fact these are poor Thais that are trapped.
  13. Good idea.....a few people get shot THEN people are warned! How about ........ institute draconian gun controls and draconian punishments for possession?
  14. Silence/tranquility Respect....which should be automatic (and can only be lost) Bum guns Soi 7
  15. Otherwise known, in many circles as, utter twaddle. Sack half the police and double the remaining half's salary. Commit a crime and you'll be prosecuted, lose your job and your pension.
  16. Never get married, never have kids, never have pets. Just wished someone had told me that as a kid.
  17. I wonder.......surely not....might we see golf ball detectors issued to every store?
  18. I'd fly in a team from the UK and put them up FOC for the duration......555 We recently had a three bed detached built....the quality of the. work, with the exception of the roofing, was atrocious.
  19. If this is being suggested by a private hospital it might be worth getting a second opinion. Ask for your MRI scans and ask someone to review them. Op was painless because I had it under a general. Had an Ecoli infection afterwards which wasn’t fun also had reverse ejaculation for a few weeks, otherwise all good. Not convinced I needed a biopsy…..nice little money spinner for the hospitals though.
  20. How much they seem to be willing to spend or how wealthy they might appear will trump ‘race' considerations every time
