Anutin latest: Praises himself to the skies for saving Thailand
Farangdk replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And the price goes to. Anutin for the best comedian in Thailand. What a shovel. At least one believes in that <deleted>. -
I know the situation. We handle FCL and LCL shipments on a daily basis. I know they are make lot of money, that is why rate never will become the same again. Increase to some destinations are as high as 900%. Mostly is is between 300% and 500%. North America and Northern Europe/ UK are the worst when not comes to increase. The biggest container vessel has a capacity of 23,992 containers TEU.

The situation right now is unsustainable for most and it will not get any better this year. And it will never be the same as before Covid. Not only has the sea rates been skyrocketing and continuing to rise, also getting space on a vessel for some destinations is a joke. Why all this? They keep telling us it is because of shortage of container in Far East Asia and that most empty container is going to China. Also, then 10% of all container vessel has been docked since the start of last year and lot of vessels are cueing up due to lack of capacity at different ports. This applies to everyone who get goods from Asia. Look at various stores in Europe and elsewhere. Only one to pay for this, is the consumer. These shipping companies act like mafia right now.

Farangdk replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Restriction on alcohol consumption because it was a main factor of outbreaks. ???? What can you say? This is better than Fawlty Towers. This might be just another decision made in panic.- 292 replies

Thailand expects one million foreign visitors between November and March
Farangdk replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Right now, it is a Laurel and Hardy show, but it is OK to be optimistic. I don't think Thailand will ever regain the same status as tourist destination as before the Covid. One thing they need to do if there should be any chance, is to stop all their Mickey Mouse laws and regulations regarding expats and tourists. -
Thailand are living in a dreamworld. If they want people to come here, then they need to open 100% and stop with all their Mickey Mouse rules. Still can't have a glass of wine or a beer together with ones food in a restaurant. What a joke.

Many of you haven't got a clue. Yes, they are corrupt, but not all that bad. Some of you like to scare off people. Easy to make Custom clearance and get shipments into Thailand without paying too much. if used items and paper not OK, then it will typical be 20% of the value on the packing list and not the CIF value, plus VAT. 30% is on luxury items only. A little help. Dont make the value on the packing list too high. If more than 2 electric items of each, just mention one. During the years I done this here in Thailand, they never opened any containers or dismantle and crates when small shipment. Outbound no issue what so ever, except if any paintings or Buddhist statues/ images. These need export permit. Inbound import permit on Buddhist statues/ images will be required. Not for paintings.

Hope to and actually do, is 2 different things, They hope for many things here in LOS these days. 99% off it, is a lot of bull.

Thailand's 'draconian' alcohol laws in the spotlight
Farangdk replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Come on Thailand.. People must adapt to this Chinese virus. People need to learn to live with this virus. The virus will be around for a long time, maybe forever. Open Thailand. People need to start making money and get some food on the table, start to have a life, many lost their home and living on the streets. There is only one way for Thailand and that is to open Thailand. Bring in the tourists/ people who have already been vaccinated. Get more and more Thais vaccinated in a hurry and test all the time and lot more. Right now, it is a joke and Thailand is more or less falling apart. All people can buy alcohol in the nearest 7/11 or in any store. But I cannot take my wife out for a nice dinner and get a glass of wine with dinner. Where is the logic? I know alcohol is to blame for many things, always has been and always will be, but blaming alcohol for being a factor in avoiding getting Covid is ridiculous. And Thailand, please stop all your Mickey Mouse laws and regulations regarding expats and tourists.- 233 replies
