  1. Could someone please give me a link to apply for the Thailand Pass, plus to get the ten-day quarantine and also the insurance? A year back, I heard it was 100K USD COVID insurance that was needed. Now I'm hearing it's 50K, is this correct? Or does this differ whether or not you've been vaccinated? Plus, I have a connecting flight travelling from the UK via Singapore. When inputting my flight number, should I use the UK to Singapore one or the Singapore to Bangkok one? Silly questions possibly but I know how anal retentive the system can be, Many thanks.
  2. I left Thailand for the last time on Nov 20, 2020. The system says to show pages of travel internationally within the last 12 months so I actually excluded the last Thailand stamp as I only applied today.
  3. That's exactly what I did, took a photo of myself with a white background. Just submitted a couple of hours ago so not sure yet if appropriate but should be ok.
  4. Just submitted and paid 60GBP for my Non-O visa through the London embassy. On the eVisa system it's still saying 'Payment Pending', even though the money has left my account. Is this normal?
  5. Thanks and: 8 . Residence permit in a country in which visa application is submitted (In case that applicant is not a national of the country in which visa application is submitted.) Cannot be left blank. Passport again? Or something with my UK address on it...rather confusing...
  6. 10 . Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency. Is this a copy of my passport or proof of address in the UK? Thank you
  7. The eVisa system does not seem to be asking me to provide a copy of the Tabianban blue book with my wife's name on it. At other Thai embassies and consulates previously, they have always wanted to see this. Is it a requirement or am I just missing something please.
  8. Hi, I've been in the UK for the past year and plan to be back in Thailand by no later than Christmas Eve. I plan to start the process today (air ticket, then visa, then Thailand Pass). Could anyone tell me if a month is enough time to get the Non-O visa and Thailand Pass approved or to be on the safe side, should I leave it until the new year? Would like to get back for Christmas but have to be realistic at the same time. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you. Ed
  9. Does anyone know if there is a maximum that can be deposited into a Thai account before the bank asks questions? I am having 300,000 THB deposited next week. If in the UK and that amount, questions would certainly be asked. I know Thai banks seems to be more relaxed than in the West though. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
  10. The question is in the title. Trying to apply for an eVisa but it's asking me for a flight number. This is prior to applying for the Thailand Pass.
  11. I plan to return to Thailand in December. Haven't applied for eVisa nor COE yet but will do soon. I emailed the Thai embassy in London about a month ago asking if it is possible to travel there having not been vaccinated and at the time they said it is. I don't plan to get the vaccine, which is a discussion for another time on another thread, but anyway I am under the impression that when the new laws come into effect in November, I will have to do ten days quarantine for travelling to Bangkok, where people who have been jabbed will likely only do one day. I don't mind the time nor the expense of the quarantine, but is anyone hearing anything to the contrary, regarding the new rules? Thank you
  12. Hello, Eleven months in England and it's countdown now to FINALLY getting back to the Land of Smiles. Just wanted to know if anyone who has recently travelled to Thailand from the UK could clarify a couple of things for me. Firstly I will be applying for a Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai. I am under the impression I need to book and pay for my flight, ASQ hotel and COVID insurance BEFORE I can apply for the COE. Is this correct? Plus has anyone had to show funds in the bank? I recently (beginning of October) transferred some funds to my UK account as I was told I had to show 'between 500 to 1500 pounds' that has to have been sitting there for 'between 2 to 3 months' according to the Thai embassy in London. So I cannot really, this being the case, apply for my COE until at least early December. Just wanted to know if anyone applying for the Non O had also had to provide proof of funds and if this was really the case? Thanks in advance for any advice. Ed
  13. I have the Kbank app on my phone which works fine here in the UK. My Thai sim is on roaming for that phone. Makes taking care of the family in Bangkok a lot easier than Western Unions.
  14. Wow ok was unaware of this. Looks like I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get the jab.
  15. On another topic, haven't been vaxxed and don't plan to be just yet. As far as I'm aware, having the vaccination is not mandatory to enter the Kingdom but if it becomes so, then that's the route I'll be forced to take.
  16. Very informative and helpful. Thank you very much sir.
  17. Hello, New to this site so go easy on me please... I'm a long-term resident of Thailand, have a Thai wife and kids there in Bangkok whom I haven't seen for many months. I now wish to return but am unsure of the requirements for obtaining a non-o visa. Must I apply at the Thai embassy in the UK or can I apply from a Thai embassy anywhere? Also, on the Thai embassy site I cannot see it saying I need to show evidence of funds in the UK. I have funds but mostly in a Thai bank account, have next to nothing in the UK here with me, so do I need to supply a UK bank statement? If so then how much do I need to have in a UK account? (If it comes to it I'll have to arrange a transfer from Thailand to the UK). The other stuff I think I can handle, it's just the financial info I need to know about so if anyone can help I'd appreciate it. Thanks very much in advance. Edward
