I didn't actually mean to brutally assault her and I didn't actually mean to kill her lover, but when I saw them together I lost my mind. I'm not emotionally developed enough to discuss things when a relationship is falling apart, and I would never just consider moving on when things aren't working out. That's just not my style, and I have to impose my will on everyone, so what other choices did I have, and what else was I supposed to do?

That's a lengthy excuse / alibi for the thug, Sor who did this.

Perhaps it could be easier for Sor to try repeating, "What did you expect? After all I am Thai"?

  2. 3 months or 6 months visa issued on arrival.

(With 6 months subject to showing proof of a basic level of financial means to stay in Thailand, eg: 50USD / day on account)..

Immigration to do a better job of filtering out and / or turning around criminals arriving on passenger flight lists.

Police General Torsak Sukvimol has indicated that a multitude of law enforcement officers across Thailand are facing impending bankruptcy due to an accumulated debt totalling around 300 billion baht. This revelation came about during his interaction with the House committee tasked with reviewing the 2024 annual budget expenditure bill.

Pol. Gen. Torsak was summoned to respond to inquiries concerning the Royal Thai Police’s (RTP) 117 billion baht budget allotment. He openly addressed the committee, revealing the dire financial straits many officers are in, with some even struggling to own a home due to their enormous debt, reported Bangkok Post.

“Regarding welfare housing, I am asking for a budget to build central flats for officers. If their living conditions improve, they will feel more motivated to serve and protect the people.”

Pol. Gen. Torsak further stressed the importance of enhancing the quality of life for police officers to inspire them to be more dedicated to maintaining peace and order.

“Every project undertaken by the RTP is accountable and transparent. If there is something suspicious, I will not sign it.”

Pol. Gen. Torsak also highlighted staffing issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic over the past three years. He cited an instance of a police station near Bangkok, built to accommodate up to 200 officers, being understaffed by half. This shortage subsequently burdens the remaining officers, who are tasked with serving approximately 400,000 locals, including the unregistered populace.

In response to the shortage of police investigators, Pol. Gen. Torsak mentioned that several units were actively seeking solutions. He partly attributed this problem to other state agencies borrowing police investigators for their operations, resulting in a pressing need for replacements to avoid exacerbating the shortage.

Until a resolution is found, police stations have been forced to reassess staff deployment, reassigning some personnel and sending others to stations critically short of staff.

I would think that, he will be doing some jail time, and receive a ban from entering Thailand, won't be enjoying a cold beer and Thai hospitality for some time, possibly receive an airline ban as well, after he has time to think, I hope for a few years in jail, a nutter.

But wasn't he arrested on arrival back in the UK? So he'll get a 1 month suspended sentence, fine of £100 for punching the airline steward and a collection of Man U DVDs of the post Fergie years to watch on repeat for 7 days as his proper punishment!! 🤣🤣

#donkey and soon to be banned from flying as well. Stupid is as stupid does.

    Hopefully! Confiscate his passport.

Put a block on The Passport Office issuing a new one to the idiot. Register them on airline's block lists. I'd say for 20 years so his holiday choices are extremely limited. Might be a lesson to others intent on causing trouble and / or even endangering lives of other passengers and airline crews.

1st you need a police force.

1st you need a police force and civil service that is not totally riddled with corruption and no accountability.

Mind you not that those of us in the UK can comment seeing as our police authorities are found to be sadly lacking in transparency and integrity in many areas.

You personally have no sovereignty over anything, not even your house, it's owned by the bank, whether you still have a job tomorrow is decided by your employers. The laws (over which you have no direct or even indirect control) in the UK are basically the same in every European country so what sovereignty are you talking about....apart from your little voting slip but governments are really ruled by the markets and international events, what you want doesn't really count (would you like an end to homelessness, unemployment, war, high interest rates, income inequality, a failing NHS, long waiting times for an OP, Charles and Kate have no problems there, having to choose between heating and eating). Blocks exist world wide because there is safety in numbers and it is financially viable because size projects outward power and influence, it opens up markets and travel, the lack of which the UK is experiencing now. The UK isn't special, it's not even a nice place to live, how's your frozen pension doing? The EU doesn't do that to its pensioners, they look after their people.....Oh and 'Rule Brittania' died a long long time ago.

Black Rock, Vanguard, Goldman Sachs and the other large international money players run governments and countries. They ultimately control everything, not puppets in government.

  8. Download bank statements in pdf format from the bank's website. These will download in the 'traditional' bank statement format that you used to get in the post, complete with name, address, postcode and account number / type.

Nationwide Bank, UK, don't make it easy navigating their site to get such a statement in pdf form, but the facility is there as I've done it for the visa purpose.

  9. At last some nod to parity and 'fairness' in relation to visitor visas and duration of stay for other tourists from some of Thailand's traditional visitor / customer base, (UK, North America, Western Europe).

However, while flights from Europe and the UK are still expensive to SE Asia, unless you fancy the Chinese airline routes with layovers, I see the market being limited to well off, free spirited early retirees in good health. Yes there's lots of these around, but also they do have plenty of choice in where to overwinter and cheaper flight costs for how to get there!

But overwintering away from UK winters, politics and the high cost of basic living these days, somewhere sunny and cheaper than here, (ie: UK), does appeal to me. 😊

By now Thailand must be the hub for almost anything.

Does anybody have a list of all the Thailand hub promises from the last decades and what actually happened?

Is Thailand the hub for anything?

Of course there is the nightlife, but I don't remember if that was ever promoted.

Porn Hub. That's deffo on it's list of 'achievements'! 🤔😂

  11. FFS Thailand move on.

    We live with it now.

Still anything adverse about Thailand quells the Chinese hordes from visiting! Oops, but there's a vital revenue stream for your economy, or so it would seem.

Tomorrow's headline, "TAT reviews Chinese visitor numbers in light of covid battles".

Which to be honest never worked, Thailand hoped it would send droves of Chinese to Thailand.

It didn't, and won't by extending it further.

China has a lot of domestic issues which now prevent mass travel as before, those with funds to travel are mostly choosing other destinations, where it's cleaner, has more attractions and has less chance of being killed.

You forgot to add that middle class Chinese with money are prefering to visit places where there's a 1,000 times more culture and things to see other than Thailand's basic offering of temples and girlie bars, plus some nice beaches..
