I just feel for anyone who comes here in search of genuine advice on life in Thailand. The perennial cost of living threads, for example, follow an entirely predictable descent into name-calling and points scoring : I'm not aware of a single such thread where people simply give their experience/recommendations and leave the thread. Happy to hear otherwise, but we seem to be repeating ourselves and its particularly odd when even the most innocuous threads have to be pruned by a mod because of 'personal attacks' or similar madness. TV is a troll's wet dream - so easy to start a thread that you know will get people foaming at the mouth, and we take the bait far too often.

The Israel-haters attempts at "logic" is absurd. ISIS murders innocent people for no legitimate reason. Israel's FM has suggested killing traitors and throwing enemies out of the country, which is not all that unusual in any country at war. There is a BIG difference. rolleyes.gif.pagespeed.ce.hZ59UWKk-siBMq

As a matter of interest where is the 'declaration of war,' and when was war declared?

Such a declaration would give legal foundation to,the comments however as far as I could find there was nor is a formal declaration of war by Israel.

Hence the statement would seem to be on a par with a statement from a terrorist group.

The issue here is they think they can do what they want because we are not a big company, and are probably not used to "small" people taking them to court. Best to continue to keep my head down and just issue the claim in May when they fail to make that payment. Not sure whether I will include anything else onto that claim as of yet. I know how the English legal system works, but no idea about what is recoverable in Thai law.

And perhaps you'll now realise that you are not in the U.K. with all of labour laws but in Thailand.

You are in a hall of mirrors

Your continuing campaign is doing you no good at all, be careful that your wife and her family are not used as a lever and turned against you.

Presuming family maybe are living in the area or even worse your wife has no immediate family near to hand you may well find that someone in a position of power may go and speak to your wife.

Remember also that if you start to seriously upset people life is cheap here especially a farang life, dramatic comment maybe, however you need to tread carefully.

Comments concerning the previous system and your assumption of monies saved may well be thin ice especially if it draws attention to another person (s) financial arrangements and income(s).

Take your own advice and keep your head down then you'll keep your head, walk away chalk it down to experience and your innocence or naivety.

He who runs away does not get hurt.

The deep desire to go into actual combat has been inculcated into minds of youth over the past 2 decades through violent video and computer games.

All they need is a cause and some finance.

A sad but true fact, these kids have lived in a fantasy world where one walks away with nary a scratch.

Let us see what happens when the truth hits home being shot at is not fun, being shot hurts, well that's my personal experience anyway,.

The problem is these kids are but cannon fodder and have little or no chance of survival or escape.

Their only release comes with death either at the hands of those they are engaged in combat with or with those who have warped their minds.

The latter scenario is the more likely one as once there is an established ground area of bigoted dictatorial religious mania in existence those converts will be treated an non believers.

The topic of the thread is "Koh Tao suspects to be indicted by the end of the month". It has nothing to do with the pictures you are posting.

Of course you are correct we must never let the facts lead to the truth must we?

More witnesses to come forward and expose the shortcoming of the investigation team.

Tut tut, can't be having that can we?

Now such revelations could cause a drop of income for some and dip in certain interested peoples business income too.whistling.gif

Sounds like a typical doctor with a God complex and one to be avoided.

    Kantana,.

Did you actual look at the date the ganglion was dealt with?

    Somehow I doubt it

Yes, he was a damm fine doctor with a rural practice and as I recall no god complex either.

We can presume of course that you are or were a doctor and are or was certified to practice as a G.P. in the U.K. thus qualified to comment with authority on the matter and the character of a long since deceased doctor with a rural practice in the .U.K.?

  8. Panas was known to be an influential real estate developer. He also co-owned some restaurants on Koh Samui with some farang businessmen. He reportedly provided protection to farang businessmen who invested on the island.

So if we look at the quote above we may well come to the conclusion that there were there are business practices operated on the island that may well be considered unethical thus those ''business people'' foreign or Thai were in the habit of having a ''loss of profits assurance policy'' in operation to protect their''investments.

Premiums paid monthly or weekly to the ''assurance man'' one wonders?

  9. Indeed we are now witnessing the results of the removal of the ''strong men'' who didn't fit those with vested interest agenda's of the industrial military complex.

The tribal system needs a strong leader who of course is not loved by all.

Remove those leaders and we now see the proliferation of extremist groups who have gained access to powerful weaponry and also the minds of those they conquer.

The balance of power is changing and we are now living in traumatic times as a result of ill advised and illegal previous actions .
