The Giant Fireflies (lamprigera tenebrosus) are the largest species in Thailand, can grow up to 10 centimetres long – that is, if they’re female. “The females are 10 times bigger than the males,” Female Giant Fireflies are wingless, lay about 60-70 eggs at a time and carry them for two months until they hatch. Then they die. One mom, one batch of eggs; another generation extinguished, another brought forth.

Speaking of Thai nicknames, I just cannot get myself to call a guy "Boy".
Back home, that would likely result in a slap in the face, and (back in my school days during desegregation) a trip to the principal's office.
Maybe say Khun / pee or Mr Boy

Telling your wife or girlfriend the truth is always a bad idea. If they are jealous it is normal & human nature so better to not know everything. I have many friends who told there girlfriend or wife that they has a encounter or 2 & it never helped a relationship once!

This is not political, it is respect for your country & job (American Athlete Celeb.) & there are plenty of other ways to protest .
The country deserves respect, unquestionably!!!

In the past decade beer &;Smoke tax in Thailand & prices the bars charge has sky rocketed. 1ST they said since bar operating times has been minimized/ prices had to raise up to keep some profits. Then the alcohol companys even lowered the percentage of alcohol in there beers due to sell more beer or unknown reason, now more & more tax. With 30 + million tourists people will always buy but Thailand is supposed to be land of smiles where Beer Smokes is cheap this should be brought up to government & thais be able to afford it too

The thermometer of success is merely the jealousy of the malcontents.
“ You can only be jealous of someone who has something you think you ought to have yourself! "
This was a personal attack & Thai women are pros at it.

Cops were right
No need for full nudity on the beach of pattaya.
If it were just a nude women it would be fine, but a nude couple it had to be reported! ?

This was alleged human trafficking,we will see what credible evidence can be obtained if any.
The USA just last month took Thailand off the watch list for human trafficking & hopefully these places prove to not be guilty of this, & can reopen for our great pleasure.

The UK embassy needs to get this guy put of Thailand. What's his pending legal cases, which he has stress over. 3 attempts now are cries for help. If he wanted his life over he could just jump off a high rise building like so many others do. Hope he gets help.

The report sounds pretty close to the truth of what Pattaya is about. But if it makes you feel better just close your eyes then and keep telling everyone that you're in Thailand for culture
I go for the food & beer.
The next thing I know I'm drunk back in my room with several women, so it must be a little culture !

Are you talking about ?
Thai media has announced what many will see as welcome news from the government - you can claim your tax back on a soapy massage or a night at the karaoke lounge.
Sanook (Money) reported that the government's "Shop for the Country 2017" tax break scheme will include two of the country's most well-known vices.
The incentive will allow individual taxpayers to deduct up to 15,000 baht of taxable income for the purchase of goods and services from November 11th to December 3rd.
This is the third year of the scheme. Last year it only included retailers and distributors but this year it has been expanded.
Patricia Mongkhonvanit, deputy director general of the Revenue Department and acting spokeswoman, confirmed the tax breaks applied to soapy massage and karaoke.
The measures are designed to 'stimulate' the economy by encouraging spending and will likely cost the government 2 billion baht.
However, those thinking of a night out to help the country should beware - the tax breaks don't apply to alcohol or cigarettes.
Just food and soft drinks and other "services".
