I doubt that most posters on this forum have been to rural Thailand. I went to Udon Thani, then past a couple villages, to a small remote village. Only the village head chief, and a local businessman had houses with paint on them, and the teachers quarters on the schools second floor were nice inside. My sponsered foster family did not even have their own rain barrel by their house, so I paid a worker to build them one, terracotta style. Some farm places would surprise all of you with their simple homes and life style.

Yahoo, 21 days that I will not be in Thailand, again. I did experience Songkhran once and that was enough. I wonder what magic number TAT will forecast for the excess tourists for this magical 21 day event? Good luck to all expats that live in good old Thai and year round. Bye I am leaving this stinking hot country tomorrow. I spent 58 days here this trip and that was more than enough.

Cheap airlines usually go broke pretty fast. Reality is the world that Air Asia lives in. Other airlines are still chaging more because of higher fees as well. Quit complaining or quit flying, your choice. IMO

A other stupid driver, going too fast down hill on a gravel road. Overtaking a other vehicle caused another unessessary accident. TIT. Note there are many good drivers who have vans and buses driving around, do your research, and you will be a lot safer. IMO

Surachat, has had other attempts to muddy his reputation in the past. I be.ieve there are some powerful, corrupt people who do not like him and are behind these attempts. Remember this is Amazing Thailand.

I feel lucky to be alive, one of my relatives,died from the first covid variant, before vaccines were available. He was fit and only in his early 40s. Since I have been vaccinated against lots of other diseases, I have been healthy. I did not get typhoid, tb, or colera etc.so I feel fortunate to get those shots. That is my opinion.
