  1. Yahoo, 21 days that I will not be in Thailand, again. I did experience Songkhran once and that was enough. I wonder what magic number TAT will forecast for the excess tourists for this magical 21 day event? Good luck to all expats that live in good old Thai and year round. Bye I am leaving this stinking hot country tomorrow. I spent 58 days here this trip and that was more than enough.
  2. How about center of corruption? Oops is that a step too far? Oh I just remembered this is Thailand, Amazing!
  3. In the nrear future, it will be, former governor Mark Robinson. bye loser.
  4. Cheap airlines usually go broke pretty fast. Reality is the world that Air Asia lives in. Other airlines are still chaging more because of higher fees as well. Quit complaining or quit flying, your choice. IMO
  5. MarcelV and the other posters, who cannot read. The woman who got beat up is NOT the Swiss jerks wife. Read the original story, there are two names. This forum does not need more village idi#ts. IMO, please learn to read the whole story before commenting.
  6. Good bye Swiss Rich Guy. Enjoy Vietnam, Laos or Cambodia. You are rich enough.
  7. Officially there is no prostitution inThailand, but the hanky panky industry is in full swing. 555
  8. Well, just going by the guys name, I wonder is there a more British sounding name, or has that country really become foieign ized? Juxt wondering?
  9. Surachat, has had other attempts to muddy his reputation in the past. I be.ieve there are some powerful, corrupt people who do not like him and are behind these attempts. Remember this is Amazing Thailand.
  10. I feel lucky to be alive, one of my relatives, died from the first covid variant, before vaccines were available. He was fit and only in his early 40s. Since I have been vaccinated against lots of other diseases, I have been healthy. I did not get typhoid, tb, or colera etc.so I feel fortunate to get those shots. That is my opinion.
  11. Forest fires are also a problem for CO2 being produced. So are volcanoes, except they are not man made.
  12. Anyone who goes to coastal California, and complains about the weather, should really go to northern Canada or Alaska, and try Winter there. Thailand would feel great after that. People living in the far north, are not as scared of global warming as others are.
  13. hotchilli, I agree with you 100 percent. I am more concerned that the Red Bull Boss, is still running around the world free, even if there was lots of money spent. Thaksin is home again, and is able to see his family once again. At least he came back to Thailand.
  14. What! Is money laundering, or what ever it was called, a grey business? Well, blow me over.
  15. It appears that neither of the shooters were hit by their bullets. Charge each of these people with murder. Of course it happened in the USA, so will this kind of justice be served?
  16. For any expat, or tourist. IMO, If you cannot afford to pay your own medical insurance for your time in Thailand, go back to your own home country, where you should at least have basic health coverage. Nobody should expect Thailand to pay for your health coverage.
  17. Okay, and what are the numbers going to be after the New Years activities? Will it be the usual high season numbers maybe until the low season begins?
  18. Well, at least Thaksin came back to Thailand. I wonder if Red Bull Boss will ever return, and spend some time in jail as well? Oh, did you all forget about him?
  19. A B787 jet with the GE engine is a top of the line, for fuel effectiveness, new tech cockpits, light weight fuselages, long range, etc. I have enjoyed flying in it a few times, and I think it is even less noisy than older models.
  20. I am staying in Hua Hin, and it is quite shocking all the people who do not wear helmets when riding motorbikes. Especially tourists or idiot expats, who likely do not have health insurance. If the Thais crash, well I just hope they have enough family support. When tourists crash, well som nom nah, if they did not get health insurance, or spend a few hundred baht on a helmet.
  21. If it is a Boeing, I am going. I have ridden on all models of Boeing, even a B707. Never crashed yet. If it is time to die, I am sure the Lord will provide a way. no use in stayingnhome and hiding from life. My opinion anyway.
  22. Good news, 10 percent or more raise for management and business owners. 555
  23. 3 charts of earths atmosphere https://scied.ucar.edu/
  24. CO2 is nearly a trace gas, less than one half of one percent of the atmosphere and methane is a trace gas. I wish media outlets would state this fact. Oh but does this mean that trees will grow in the arctic as they did in the distant past? just curious. Harvey
  25. Thailand has Thaksin, USA has Trump. They are both rich, both in politics. Just my observance. Harvey M
