Police dealing meth.  Police taking meth.  Police getting fired for meth, then killing like 30 children.   Meth, meth, police, police........ sounds like a good place to retire and feel super safe.

Are you trying to tell me LOS isn't all it's cracked up to be?

Can we go back to no news and just act like it's all rainbows and strawberries ..

can I say rainbows in 2022 and not offend any snowflakes here???

    can I say snowflakes??

I think that many strawberries and snowflakes will find your comments about them to be extremely offensive and as for rainbows ,well i am shocked.

My experience with Bangkok Bank is you must go to the home branch for any new debit card .

I was there yesterday to obtain a new card and interestingly there was no charge as i kept the original pin number .

Two previous occasions i have had a new card using the  same pin cost me 100 baht .

I mentioned that to the lady saying you owe me 200 baht . Of course i just received a smirk .

I also asked for a second account . A woman came out saying foreigners can not have more than one account .

Then a second woman came out and said yes you can have a fixed term account as well . But you have to come with a embassy letter.

I am some what confused what the embassy has to inform them on , plus why ask for more information when i have a savings account with them .

Perhaps I try Kasikorn Bank as many say they are more user friendly .

Funny you should say that cos yesterday i went into Hua Hin branch of Bangkok bank and picked up a new debit card but my account is in Pattaya. I had been to branch in Samut Prakan and they said i had to go to Pattaya. Its luck of the draw here cos they all make it up as they go along. TIT

  3. Part of my cancer treatment wiped out all the testosterone in my body ,this left me depressed and i was crying at the slightest thing. My Doc put me on Sertraline and it worked great no side effects that i noticed, i am now off them 4 years down the road and im ok.

What if I get back to Thailand and I don't pee at night anymore?

It turns out I have figured out how to stop the peeing anyway. I was on a new regimen of anti malaria prophylaxis, part of terms and conditions of my over seas visit. Stopped using the meds as I cannot see any mosquitoes anyway and now no more excessive peeing!

Buddy if you are over 50 have a yearly test anyway its only a blood test, 1 in 8 men get prostate  cancer.

Forget all this jabber about temperature etc. if you start getting up in the night to pee then go and get a blood test and ask for your PSA to be checked. One of the biggest killers for older men is prostate cancer and frequent night time needing to pee is a common indicator. Death rate in the UK is 1 in 41 for Prostate cancer. I was lucky and caught it in time.

    Good luck.

I second this i wish i had gone to Docs earlier when i was peeing a lot turned out i had advanced prostate cancer, i am now in remission. GET TESTED

Over the years I met many US millionaires, and I am sure some of them had 10th of millions and houses, cars, maybe boats, etc. Not one of them gave me the impression that he was somehow happier than other people who I know.

I.e. one guy had a couple of luxury cars. He just sold the Hummer and bought a Ferrari, after buying and selling lots of other cars over the years. And then? I guess he used the Ferrari a couple of times until he was bored again and then he bought again another car. Was he super happy? At least I didn't get that impression.

Do they all live in Thailand now ?

    Three main things for me.

    1. Pound Baht exchange rate.

    2. Price of air tickets and I go back to the UK every 9 months for a couple days for hospital appointments and check on my property..

    3. I still use UK NHS for tablets, so biggest worry they crack down on issuing 9 months of tablets - but my own health issues are covered by UK law tablet wise so unlikely.

Thats a long way to go for a couple of days
