Which agents can obtain CE for those that entered with non O for example..
All agents that could do CEs before the change can do them now again, at least the ones I've spoken to. So yes, that includes the one big agent everybody knows about.

Wasn't it just changed from the recent visa exempt and tourist visa covid extensions only? To all categories as it was previously
Think you're thinking agent assisted extensions, because now agents can do them for all visa types again.

why is it a surprise, dude needs urgent help, signs up here to post.
The agent is a real piece of work... threatening not to go to the police... OP don't listen to the agent and go to the police ASAP and get yourself a new passport. You will have to pay overstay fee of 500THB/day but it is how it is.

Update: Koh Samui Immigration were only issuing 7-day you-must-leave extensions yesterday until the mid-afternoon; when they started advising people to overstay illegally ???? until Monday.
On Monday, these overstayers can come in and get their 60-day extensions (regular 1,900 Baht fee + 1,500 Baht for 3 days' overstay). There is another form to fill in, you have to submit a GoogleMap screenshot, and two sets of documents instead of one.
It's not illegal if you pay ????

First thanks for the link and info.
Thinking my point was wondering how that would work in reality.
Would someone rocking up to eg Oz embassy any saying ....."I really really need to stay in Thailand.
It's a NECESSITY" .......
Don't think I would obtain a letter.
I was able to obtain such a letter but I have a Russian passport. They just collected passport in batches from all requesting extension if stay and handed them out ???? It might not be so easy for other countries, a Canadian friend was rejected to receive the letter for example.

I'm not sure if that will be possible.
Perhaps directed at couple of countries.
For the majority not relevant.
Agents can do an "embassy extension" right now for all passports, only requiring an embassy letter.

Has something changed? Can people who were on volunteer visas and ed visas once again get covid extensions?
You might if you can obtain a letter from your embassy requesting extension of stay.

can Non-Imm holders now do the extension again, or is it only for tourists again?

see ANY schools website and they'll tell you the process to get your next ED visa. Should be no problem.
But check different schools in ADVANCE and ask if they can guarantee getting you the visa, then start process immediately when you get in (it takes 3 weeks processing or more).
My passport looks much like yours, and 2 years here (including the dreaded volunteer), except I stayed inside thailand while seeking a VISA.
Many rejected me due to having the "V"
I eventually found one and got my 9 month ED visa. It cost 40k. (I was even on overstay already)
I received written guarantee upfront, and made two payments, half to start and half upon completion.
Just vet your agent/ school as much as you can prior. You'll have no problem I think. That is because it's not possible to convert a volunteer to an ED, real or dodgy. So congrats on achieving that.

elite visa is good if you can spare the cash I think. Also re the volunteer visa, just recently my gf was scolded over the phone as she wanted to ask if I could get another extension (tried saving in agent fees) by a very caffeinated female immigration worker that it's not a real visa, you just pay money, etc, which I found funny. Also various immigration officers saw this visa in my passport, and they all knew that you just payed an agent, but that's the extent of it.
this is just personal speculation on my part after dealing with multiple immigration officials with this visa: they know you payed an agent to get an easy visa, but I don't think it's illegal so they can't really do anything. So, personally I think if you enter with a new passport, and do the elite visa thing, they won't give you any more issues than if you'd stayed the whole time on covid extensions, which is probably
just as dodgy.
And I'm only saying new passport because you said that's what you gonna do, but even with a new passport, all your visas, extensions and exits/entries are in their computer system, so they'll probably know all about it either way.

Are you? Really?
Or is this some faux shock like Capt. Renault finding out about gambling in Casablanca?
Again, really? "Especially"? Do tell. So this is equal to what, eleven on your shocked scale?
I'm shocked that you're shocked.
I'm shocked anyone thinks "the average russian" bears - see what I did there - no responsibility for putin's actions.
Helping russians to return home seems like the best thing to do. Coddling them will only prolong the problem.
oh, you're being witty, and referencing a cult classic to cushion your racism. Great, welcome to my ignore list.

Hi again and thanks for the advice and the 2 agency names.
As in my first post, all i was asking an agent in bangkok. Im not over 50.
But it seems i will wait for 1 july. Seems thing will be better like old days or almost.
Thanks to all comments again
Please never ever use Bangkok Buddy, this agent is horrible and someone I know is on 6 week overstay because of this agent... very bad. She will tell you "no problem" she can do all but then she will always tell you later and tomorrow and actually never get anything done.
Read the 1 star reviews on Google for this agent for real experience.. I believe 5 star reviews are fake.
I don't know why Doc Jack keeps recommending this agent.....

Well what's going to change in the next 90 days? How can you live without money? Better to return now right? Do whatever you need to purchase a ticket. Ask the russian embassy for a loan? Pawn your valuables for thai baht?
But I was just addressing your statement about there not "seeming" like any flights. There are, obviously.
You can find more details on the current issue here:

I'm shocked by the reaction of people towards Russians and think it's just tribal thinking to band together against a common enemy. I think most people who say bad things about Russian citizens understand that they have nothing to do with the actions of one man, but they want to get in on the action, tribal, primitive thinking.
I am especially shocked by Americans. Aren't you always disagreeing with your presidents and complaining about them? why do you think it's any different in Russia? If Biden would start genocide against a small country tomorrow, how many Americans do you think would support that? Especially on a forum for expats!! I have not even been to Russia for 20 years.
Just shows how dumb people are, but because of that same tribal thinking many Russians actually follow Putin in this and support his actions, again I think it's the same in America... some people love and follow their president, others hate his guts. It's like me saying every American is a republican, or every American is a democrat. Guess what, there are people who disagree or even hate their governments. But please continue your tribal actions and feel like you are part of something greater than yourself by offending other human beings!! Disgusting!

Can we please share in information of what we know about what the Thai immigration is currently doing to help Russians stranded in Thailand? There do not seem any flights available to Russia at the moment. Are they giving out extensions like they did for covid?

On a Cambodia forum, I recently saw a recommendation for Cina Travel.
You could contact them already before your trip to check the current requirements with them.
When I applied for the last tourist visa in Phnom Penh - back in 2018 (!) mind you - I had to supply flight tickets and a bank statement. Possibly also a hotel booking. Notably, it took longer than elsewhere, 3-4 days from memory. Again, this is potentially outdated information and I'd suggest to contact some agents for current rules and requirements.
Just contacted CINA travel and this was their response:
"Currently, we are offering service to apply for a 60-day Thai tourist visa.
Please kindly check the requirements as below.-Original Passport
-01 photo with white background (Size 4x6Cm)
-Bank statement for the last 03 months with the last balance of at least USD1,000/person
-Flight Itinerary
-Fill in the form
-USD60/person
-Submit before 9AM on the working day and takes 3 working daysRemark:
The visa approval is subject to embassy decision.Visa fee is non-refundable regardless of the visa result
Additional documents may be required in some cases"- 1

You're asking members here what lies you should tell Immigration to con your way in? Seriously?
Why not just get the correct visa for your visit?
And what visa would that be? And who said anything about lying? I suggest you read this thread first before commenting further, you might gain a few insights ????

Definitely, some of the membership are a lot nastier than any IO I've ever encountered. Just ignore them, they only have imaginary stamps anyway. ????
Out of curiosity, did you follow that friendly IO's advice to try entering Thailand with an education visa? Or how did you enter again back then?
Yes, that's how I got here before the pandemic started. Made use of the visa too and learned to speak and read thai ????
