  1. I live here now and have had friends visit. They only comment on how cheap things are here for them, no complaints about duel pricing. This seems like a non-issue. What tourists are complaining????
  2. I think that was me..annoyed by references to Iran in this discussion.
  3. That's what I mean, Starlink is a good option.

My concern about buying is having neighbours who turn out to be fu*king annoying, smoking, noisy - or a new construction close by. So many risks because it's hard to sell. With renting, you can easily get out of a bad situation.
  5. Being from Canada this caught my attention. I live in Thailand now with full internet coverage everywhere in the country on my phone for 267bt/m. Internet is crazy expensive in Canada due to the size of the country and a relatively low population, mostly centered in four urban areas. So, people outside this area deal with internet problems, it's not cost effective for service providers. Just my 2 cents.
  6. Wasn't this the plot to SICARIO? Life imitating art. Gotta be the CIA. 555
  7. Exactly. Vance has termed the Supreme court decision as "lawlessness". That makes pretty clear rhe mindset of this administration. Rule of law means nothing. They will try every trick in the book, ignoring congress. This is authoritarian rule at work.
  8. What saddens me is how systemic corruption (and yes, Anutin is as gulity as anyone) has ruined the lives on so many ordinary Thai people. It is also destroying the potential for future generations, unless they are part of the ruling elite. There is a lot of talk about working for Thailand but the reality is .. they work for themselves.
  9. I read that two cash withdrawals for over a 500 million baht, in 100 and 500 denomonations from the banks took place shortly before the election. They didn't even try to hid it. Now they are talking about requiring the banks to track large cash transactions. Too late. Not hard to guess who used that money.
  10. omg .. did he say thay with a straight face. 555 I guess by China standards it was open an honest.
  11. It was the poison pill inserted in case the wrong party won more votes. Also, there was the pending case of 11 MP members - from a single party, not named- accused of online gambling (dare I say PP), just in case. The outcome of this election was preordained.
  12. I think I read somewhere that there were two huge cash withdrawals from the bank totaling five hundred million baht, in 100 and 500 denominations, so I figure a lot of beer has been prchased already. 555
  13. ooops ... sorry about that.
  14. Reputation 24 minutes ago Staying silent means being on the wrong side of history. There is no maximum amount of appropriate expression oopposing autocratic rule ... in a republic that has previously demonstrated the highest ideal of free expression.
