There is more to Krabi than Ao Nang beach - i just spent 2 months in Phuket and have now been in Krabi for the past month - i have decided to stay here for another 2 months - Its so beautiful and chilled here. Klong Muang beach is amazing and the views from the restaurants on Tubkaek Beach have to be seen to be believed, absolutly stunning. It all depends on what you are seeking but if its relaxation & serenity, Krabi would be hard to beat. Phuket was manic with too much temptation & partying every night - Not really a viable option for me long term - I have rented a house with a pool & its definatly what i have been seeking - Loving it here.

Rather than come back for a 2nd trip & potentially an extra 1000 baht in taxi fares, i would have said that i am happy to pay an extra 1000 baht if you could just stamp my passport today instead of having the inconvenience of coming back the next day.

Somewhat confusing question ? If outside of Thailand now, can apply for a 60 day tourist visa which can be extended for a further 30 days in country - Then perhaps a further 60 day covid extension - IF this is extended past 25th January. Can also enter 30 days visa exempt & extend for further 30 days, then possible covid extension. If only staying 4 months, no need to go down the Non O route.

We go to Macro & get the shopping in & cook at home - Krabi is not for everyone, but im loving it here.

30 days extension can be done at the small tourist friendly immigration office in Patong. Covid extensions have to be done in Phuket Town immigration office. Reasons for staying - 30 days extension - Tourism. Reasons for staying - Covid extension - Covid. There is also an affidavit to fill in - Most people just tick the 2nd box.

Greetings all, I would like to take out a 12 month health insurance policy, only country needed is Thailand (Or maybe SEA only). Which health insurance companies are you long term expats using & how much are you paying per year ?? I dont really understand all this talk about deductables & some of the other terms they use. Do you think 45,000 baht is reasonable for a years cover ?? 54 years old with no underlying health issues. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

When i arrived in Phuket in October, Qatar Airways checked everything before issuing my boarding pass. They even wanted to see my 3 pre booked covid test certificate.

Applied for Covid extension on Friday at Krabi Immigration. Arrived at 08.30, only 1 person in front of me. I was out of there by 9.15. Had all my paperwork ready with signed photocopies ect ect ect. This is my 2nd Covid extension - My current permission to stay expires on 8th February - They stamped me in untill 9th April 2022. Great experience, nothing like Phuket & no under consideration stamp ro come back.

Why do you need a 30 day extension if you are working ?? Just tell Immigration that you forgot to take your 2nd PCR Test because you were too busy working. Im sure that they will understand.

Yes chaps, i can see there might be future complications with using an agent in this manner - I was just replying to the OP question - Based on what the Visa agent told me in Phuket. I too am very sceptical as to future 90 day reporting, ect ect ect. I am complicating to going down this route but not sure which is the best route for me to take ?

TMT Visa service. 28 Soi Banzaan in Patong - Behind Big C. For a Non O 90 day Visa PLUS your 12 month extension - Total 15 months - Done at the same time - Total price is 39,000 baht (without the financials). Usually takes 3 weeks as passport has to be sent up country.

Regarding your 30 day extension to your tourist visa ....... I do believe that this particular one time extension can be given at the small tourist friendly immigration office in Patong without the need to go to the main immigration office in Phuket Town.

Bear in mind that the 25th January is the last day (Currently) to apply for a covid extension so Phuket Immigration likely to be manic on that date.
