COVID-19 infections on the rise among people not fully vaccinated
Lizzy Duang replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I noticed a while ago that cardiology in BPH was more crowded than ever. Anyone here who developed heart problems after the shots? -
1) Clearly no Harleys, more like a wannabe gang on cheap rentals. 2) Probably Indian, at least I have seen an Indian group like that in the daytime. 3) What's with all the speculations? Those are low lifes, they are not supported secretly by embassies etc, they will be rounded up and charged. 4) If you wanna speed up that process, take clearer pics of license plates and report them . As far as I know, the lottery is ongoing, so 20.000 baht can be won each month for reporting violators.

Leading Thai doctors calling for mask mandate to be reinstated
Lizzy Duang replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I'm pretty sure they are <deleted> off by all the foreigners who refuse to wear masks in Big C etc. Not by those who only drop them outside. -
A lot of those guys give themselves a certain image that is probably based on an underlying subconscious fear. I know women that we both had, and once I asked him about a beach pleasure girl whom I saw him taking before and he warned me she might try to steal s.th. but otherwise would do her job. Pics with Ferraris and rumours (who has actually seen any criminal record of him?) are useless. He is a friendly guy for me, and he paid for the women just as we did.

So what happens when an Indian man wants to marry a Thai? His parents also expect a dowry - from the woman's family. A Thai told me they could probably not call it quits here. So if it was about tradition, Thais would have to accept a foreign custom, too, perhaps even pay more. I was told they are not willing to do that. Anyway, to demand a dowry does not make sense when the future husband has less than his wife's family, as it would hurt the couple's reserve otherwise. If marriage would be excluded due to a lack of dowry, it would show that stubbornness is more important here than love. What are the vows for then, or do they sound so differently in Thai?

I doubt that. Long COVID must be hold against Long VAXX which will include all long term side effects of messing with your immune system through repeated booster shots in a short time span. And the omicron stats say that it is NOT deadlier than the flu. As Delta is almost gone, it's as making a flu a big thing (where usually not half of the population is vaccined). I just checked Bangladesh. Half of Germany's vaccination rate in comparison, 8 times less deaths. Considering the overpopulation and poverty in Bangladesh ... there is obviously something wrong with those vaccines.

How do Thai women compare with Western women as a wife?
Lizzy Duang replied to webfact's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Of course it always depends on the individual. But to say that money is more important to Western women than to Thai women seems wrong to me. First of all, Thais talk more about money in my eyes. There is good reason for that, as Western women have better chances to earn enough money and independence themselves. From what I see here, most foreigners support their wives with a monthly amount from 10.000 Baht up which equals a local minimum salary. None of my Western friends hands over a minimum salary to his girlfriend or wife at home. -
I just read that 80 percent of hospitalisations in one of Israel's wards are vaccinated - but less than 80.percent of the population is. So this might be a slight advantage for the unvaccinated, being protected from the vaccinated who seem to catch Omicron a bit easier. Anyway, you can watch videos that show how the air is spread in planes, so it wouldn't make much difference in the end. Just shows that the vaccinated are probably still the more fearful.

Bangkok set for official change of name to "Krung Thep Maha Nakhon"

I understand and like the suggestion. City of Angels translates better than bang cock. -
20k THB reward for people who report law breaking motorcyclists
Lizzy Duang replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
In the meantime ... Has anyone really participated in the lottery and WHERE exactly did you send your photo or video to? -
I think that is wrong. I listened to a couple of experts, and what would be "of concern" to you seems to be a deadly version like Ebola ... which then stops spreading much and is easier to contain. You just can't have both. Either it spreads fast and is less deadly or it is deadlier and isn't spreading much, kind of self-limiting.
-
I'm not so sure about that. The spread of the virus is ongoing even in vaccinated people. If a wider spread leads to more mutations and those mutations become more infectious, as is the case here, they will also become less deadly. Thus any means which have slowed down this process, like lock-downs, would have been counterproductive. The vaccines might have saved some lives - which we will know in a few years considering all long-term effects - but done nothing to speed up mutation to friendlier versions.
-
I am actually glad that - not only here - some of those who are vaccinated start to doubt the whole storytelling. And it was good to mention road carnage. The chance to die of COVID was about the same as the chance to die in traffic for the past two years within Thailand. I guess no one thought about staying home to avoid traffic.

Travelling in Thailand as unvaccinated resident
Lizzy Duang replied to Lizzy Duang's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Yes but that's not really the topic here. It was somehow changed by some users. A typical problem of Forums. There is a question and the topic needs to become personal. Not really interesting. I don't blame anyone for getting vaccinated. I understand. -
Travelling in Thailand as unvaccinated resident
Lizzy Duang replied to Lizzy Duang's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
You mean they are not sure of their vaccines? Yes, I get that impression, too. So why did they get a vaccine? Because the unvaccinated share the same fate. I wear a mask and don't work in an elderly home.
