should read DM to have an in/out bound only - no transitory flights...

Isnt the answer simpler than that: Why cant Thai operate an inbound (only) domestic terminal at Don Muang and also operate an inbound domestic "transitory" (for Int'l) at SVB?
Thanks,
Randy

how do you say in Thai: Why are you trying to lay a guilt trip on me?

Whats next the runway! What a fleecing of the LOS !

I heard that possibly it takes longer to get off the plane and to the customs area than the amount of time you spend in customs. The baggage carousels of which there are 2 have had some problems so waiting for your checked bags could be a sad experience. Do yourself a huge favor and just bring a carryon; dont check anything! The arrivals area is a mad house too. I suggest you get a car service than a taxi. I am using www.orientalescape.com they have one way for B900 and RT for B1700 all inclusive for my trip next month. Good luck, let us know how you fared...

can anyone recommend any car services that have "online booking" so I can order?
Thanks,

I would split a cab if I knew of the person, eg If I saw the person traveling on my plane, then I would know the person was legit and not some scammer that would hit me over the head with a sac of baht!
Thanks,
Randy

I hope they iron out all the glitches and service issues b4 I get there!

sheeze! Whats next "drive by shootings?" This is just typical of what is happenning all over the big Blue Ball we call Earth. It is disgusting and people need to be more cognicant of their surroundings and simply not put themselves in situations that have probability towards "terrorism" and that means ALL FORMS of TERRORISM! Common people, "wake up" and survive!

Hello:
Can anyone tell me if there is a hobby shop in Bangkok that has RC aircraft, especially electrics.
Thanks,
Randy

"reported that at 01.00 am – 18.00 pm. 98 percent of the flight schedules were on time" So then it would be accurate to say that those numbers plummet after 18:00 which is if you note "happy hour!"
Thanks,
Randy

Kasetsart University has a vetinary teaching hospital that sees animals as "walk ins" too!

Seven-Juliet-Bravo, in your flight computer, enter the airport code Victor-Tango-Bravo-Sierra and this will bring you to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport.I am coming to BKK in December - will my CAL flight be landing here or at DonMuang?

Maestro

sorry - I did read some of the thread and saw a blip about DM still being on line for some reason.
Not sure what to do about when I arrive - do I want to wade through an ocean of people and wait up to an hour for my lone bag to fall down the carousel and then enter the "sea of arrivals" only to find a taxi driver then to enter the traffic on the road exiting the terminal.
I kinda think I would be better off and (hopefully rested enough fr the flight) to put up with a short hop to 'rental row' pick up the car and hopefully not run into frakking BKK traffic as humbling as that could be...
Then again I could bus it, what number bus is it to Kasetsart Uni area?
Thanks,
Randy

I am coming to BKK in December - will my CAL flight be landing here or at DonMuang? Also I am landing at 1:50am and I need a rental car; anyone know if the AVIS desk will be open at this ungodly hour? Anyone know what bus goes to Kasetsart University area from Suvannapoom? What are petrol prices like these days?
Thanks,
Randy

Hi Everyone:
My name is Randy and I am from San Diego and will be traveling to BKK in November. I will be staying at a place called Maruay Hotel near Kasetsart University. I am wondering how much it will be for a taxi from Suvarnabhumi to the hotel.
What are gas prices now in BKK per litre?
When I tried booking a rental car (economy seat 5 passenger) from Avis or Hertz - the search turned up "not available," any idea; maybe because Suvarnabhumi airport rentals are not "on-line" yet. Any comment.
Also what bus could I take as an alternate to getting to the Maruay Hotel from Suvarnabhumi would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks
Randy
