So, is this now a ‘thing of the past’ and will electric cars require ‘running in’ ?.... (never heard they have).

Is there any part of the large electric motors that require this? and other moving parts of the vehicle which require this ???

    MG Australia recommends (carsguide.au.com)

From wiki:  "SAIC Motor Corp., Ltd. (formerly Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation) is a Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer headquartered in Anting, Shanghai. Founded in 1955, it is currently the largest of the "Big Four" state-owned car manufacturers of China, namely: SAIC Motor, FAW Group, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and Changan Automobile, with car sales of 5.37 million, 3.50 million, 3.28 million and 2.30 million in 2021 respectively.

The company produces and sells vehicles under its own branding, such as Feifan, IM, Maxus, MG, Roewe, Baojun (under SGMW), Wuling (under SGMW), as well as under foreign-branded joint ventures such as SAIC-Volkswagen (Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi) and SAIC-General Motors (Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac). In 2021, domestic-branded cars took 52% of sales.  It also produces electric vehicles under some of the previously listed brandings, including dedicated EV brands such as Feifan and IM.

It is currently a Fortune Global 100 company, ranked 60 on the list.Including SGMW, it is also the third largest plug-in electric vehicle (BEV and PHEV) company and second largest BEV company in the world, with 10.5% and 13% global market share respectively in 2021, selling under brand names such as Wuling, Baojun, Maxus, MG, Roewe and Feifan"

the US Diplomat is a clear winner for me, although the UK series has prettier landscapes.

but the UK series has a very shaky handheld camera, made me feel a bit seasick at times.

didn't like the plot or the characters, I didn't finish episode 1. I'll free up the space on my NAS.

Agree, enjoyed the US Diplomat series, along with also didn't make it through the 1st episode of UK version.

  4. "Life expectancy for men and women

A male child born in the United States today will live to be 74.5 years old on average. This puts the male citizens of the US in 47th place in this ranking. On average, US women are 5.7 years older, reaching an age of 80.2. The world average age of death is a few years lower at 69.8 years for men and 74.9 years for women. Within the European Union, these are 77.8 and 83.3 years respectively.

Thailand (males) 75.0 years, (females) 83.7 years"

How many times does it have to state that car had "significant damage"?

This is not significant damage. It takes a day in garage to get a new light fixture, pull out the metal, plaster, polish and respray it.

Significant damage would be if the entire front got smashed to pieces.

    Notice the difference?

Along with 'bangkok rd', in Nakhon Pathom.

Large deer are the same as large motorcycles here.

At least it had antlers, like those Harley style motorcycles.

  6. Probably because they would be packed, standing room only as they are now at rush hour, and would take for ever for someone to make their way down to the street at each stop, causing even more congestion.

They squeeze just as many on the buses now, as they would if 'legally' (no standing) using double deckers.

As stated, imagine all the wires they would take out, along with scooter driver being clotheslined that were near them when it happens.

Only have here for open roads, and as tourist attraction; tours and that silly dining bus line.

  7. Wouldn't upgrading the suspension, shocks, struts, be a better idea.  Tyres can only do so much, if anything, unless tyres themselves are noisy.

All the entry level cars are terrible on the road, noise, bumps and vibration.  Add some undercoating (during dry season), might help deaden the road noise, and maybe some sound deadening material on the floor inside.

Scary world for females, glad my daughter asked me to buy her a switchblade.

I've taught her the best I could, to have a fighting chance.  Wish all gals, all ages were trained in self defense, AND, trained and issued a firearm when ready.   Equal the playing field and we'd have less horrible stories such as these.
