  1. That or just a money grab. Toyota 2022 sales, 9.5 million+ vehicles 1000 km oil change X 1 or 2k baht.
  2. All their info is available, and doubt if prices are negotiable. Standard: "The standard range of BYD ATTO 3 (NEDC range to 410 km) officially entered the Thai market at a selling price of 1,099,900 baht" Although, for a few baht more, get the long range model:
  3. They started surrounding her car, banging on it, and one guy jumping on the bonnet ... W T F. With the way most BLM riots ended, I would have done the same thing.
  4. As long as they're spending money, who cares. Whether a daytrip at border, long weekend, week or month, all money into the economy.
  5. Definitely understand her turning down every previous deal. No jury would ever convict her. DA knew it was loser, if it went to a jury trial.

  7. Most countries consider 65 as elderly, older residents, as do charts that track such info. Thailand not even close to Japan or other countries to be considered having an older population: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_age_structure https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.POP.65UP.TO.ZS
  8. Agree, enjoyed the US Diplomat series, along with also didn't make it through the 1st episode of UK version.
  9. I'd say overpriced ... here's a thread that may interest: https://aseannow.com/topic/1268214-solar-8kw-hybrid-inverter-w10kwh-upgraded-to-20kwh-in-sept-2022-essbattery-not-diy/
  10. "Life expectancy for men and women A male child born in the United States today will live to be 74.5 years old on average. This puts the male citizens of the US in 47th place in this ranking. On average, US women are 5.7 years older, reaching an age of 80.2. The world average age of death is a few years lower at 69.8 years for men and 74.9 years for women. Within the European Union, these are 77.8 and 83.3 years respectively. Thailand (males) 75.0 years, (females) 83.7 years" https://www.worlddata.info/life-expectancy.php
  11. If has DL and drives in home country, yea. I didn't say on a scooter without a helmet and ignore the laws.
  12. If not flying, overnight, and hire a car the next day, drive yourself.
  13. Do you really think their profit margin would change. Added overheard will just be passed on the to consume.
  14. Why would they care about the history of other countries, when most don't care much about Thai's history. I don't care about the history of other countries I'd never visit. History is constantly being rewritten to appease special interest groups. Along with nobody seems to learn from history.
  15. How about a fair flat tax that everyone pays. 15, 20, or 30% across the board tax for all, and eliminate all the silly deductions. Stop going in debt, to give it away to other countries, especially if they don't need it. Cut the defense budget, simply be bringing all the military back to USA soil and waters. Stop being the world's police force and corporate security. Spend USA tax dollars an US citizens only. Probably have a balance budget and pay the deficit off in a decade or so. That makes way too much sense.
  16. Along with 'bangkok rd', in Nakhon Pathom. Large deer are the same as large motorcycles here. At least it had antlers, like those Harley style motorcycles.
  17. Really doesn't need to be deep, and probably at the depth of the driveway 10+cm, whether running under or along side of it, and hopefully not 'in' it. As long as you got a ballpark idea where it is, no worries. If cutting across a grassy area, I wouldn't expect to be much deeper than 30cm.
  18. Probably because they would be packed, standing room only as they are now at rush hour, and would take for ever for someone to make their way down to the street at each stop, causing even more congestion. They squeeze just as many on the buses now, as they would if 'legally' (no standing) using double deckers. As stated, imagine all the wires they would take out, along with scooter driver being clotheslined that were near them when it happens. Only have here for open roads, and as tourist attraction; tours and that silly dining bus line.
  19. Wouldn't upgrading the suspension, shocks, struts, be a better idea. Tyres can only do so much, if anything, unless tyres themselves are noisy. All the entry level cars are terrible on the road, noise, bumps and vibration. Add some undercoating (during dry season), might help deaden the road noise, and maybe some sound deadening material on the floor inside.
  20. R I P Scary world for females, glad my daughter asked me to buy her a switchblade. I've taught her the best I could, to have a fighting chance. Wish all gals, all ages were trained in self defense, AND, trained and issued a firearm when ready. Equal the playing field and we'd have less horrible stories such as these. while ongoing search: https://www.thairath.co.th/news/crime/2690134 https://www.thaipbs.or.th/news/content/327168
  21. You can go CM-Pai-CM without the need to charge. If doing the loop, there are stations along the way. If you live there, then you are obviously charging at home. Any more silly examples ?
