  1. had a full hip replacement in 1998 in uk, I am now getting problems with it , I have had an xray and the bone specialist doctor diagnosed, osteolysis of greater trochantercaused by wear and tear to polyethylene liner.

I was prescribed with neurobion and neurotin I took these for 3/6 months and then the doctor advised me to go on paraceptomol which I have and now take daily as required

I also had a xray on my right hip and have degenerative change of right hip joint , I think my problems have partly been caused by me being overweight , I was losing weight and after 8 months lost 24kg with the help of diet and a daily exercise walk but the pain of the exercise to my legs was to much so I stopped exercising and now I find it difficult to walk, to day I had a go at starting exercising with walking again for 30 minutes and I hope daily walking will again help me lose weight , but the doctor did advise against exercise , I don't want to take medicine for the rest of my life any advice please. I am 72 years old and at least want too swee my children finish University in 7 years from now

  3. after I posted I phoned CTH and they said they had the same problem but would go on the roof and tweek something, 20 minutes later sky came back'

I have had no bills since they installed CTH on 27th July

with hindsight I would not have applied because with the exception of Sky News and prem l football the other programmes are not suitable for family viewing (My opinon) I have not got True back with the Super knowledge package also I am able to see Man U TV with all their games , I can also get Liverpool TV on their website and transfer from my note book to TV via a HDMI cable , also the package has some other True sports packages , so I am contemplating getting rid of CTH , every day their is a nigly fault .

The true package is 590b a month plus 117b a month for the top set HD box

  4. for the past 6 weeks I have been watching Sky News on CTH Channel 261 , to day there is no programme being shown on that channel and they have added Fox news on Channel 266.as this been taken of now ? can anyone confirm they are watching Sky news now or is it my problem , all the other channels ok

  5. i read somewhere it is on Truevision HD2 , not sure if that is correct as they are using that channel for the Olympics, i checked Truevision programming today and cant see it scheduled , just have to surf Truevision at 730pm

  6. I have just checked the speed again on Thai visa and Download is 2.62mbps and 0.36mbps download .

I had a call from the Tot Engineer and he said that 4MB is the maximum i can have because a live a long way from there?

this is a common recurrence for me and i thought there may be a dongle i can buy to solve the problem but i still need the TOT land line to receive my tv programmes via Dream box , so it looks like i just have to put up with it .

  7. I live in the sticks in Mahasarakham province , a small farming village

There s no choice for the internet as TOT are the only company supplying a line , so despite all the problems i have with them i have no other choice .

This morning my download speed was .36mbps when i reported it , this evening the download speed s .17mbps and upload .65MBPS so i have reported it again , the Maximum speed we pay for 4MB which they say is the maximum we can have because of where we live .

Does anyone know of any other way i can get a more steady internet supply , i do have a Nokia mobile which i use when wego to hotels but that is slow also not quick enough for home.

The deals are from Bangkok to Australia and London . travel dates 25th March to 30th June for economy and Business class is 7th Feb to 31st March,

I put in depart to London date 20th April return 4th May and got a fare of 29750B , but when i went to confirm it came to a total of 48370B , that is because of the astronomical Tax, UK charge for international flights ,

  16. He was breaking the law if he was receiving pension credits and spending more than a month per year in Thailand.

I do believe pension credits are designed for people who have no savings and no job,but in reality its a scam again by the british scam artists.

I know of a man from UK who claimed for this benefit and lived in Thailand, he was caught when he went back to UK and had tp repay all he had received , now everytime he arrives at Heathrow Immigration they log the date and time he arrived in UK , be very carefull

  17. Democrats Link Riots with Red-shirt Networks Overseas

The ruling Democrat Party suggests red-shirt elements overseas have also played a part in the recent riots in Bangkok.

Democrat spokesperson Buranut Samutharuk said his party has obtained evidence that red-shirt networks overseas have incited anti-government protesters to stage mayhem in Bangkok.

Buranat indicated that the red-shirt networks have encouraged the protesters to stage arson attacks on shopping malls and banks.

Buranut revealed the suggestions on arson attacks were made through a website called NorPorChorUSA2.com. The website has already been blocked by the Thai authorities.

The party spokesman said the interview of ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra with Asia Times magazine over his alleged order for red-shirt protesters to spread violence if they are dispersed will be used as evidence in an ongoing investigation against the former premier.

Buranut also said the Foreign Ministry has received full co-operation from European countries to restrict Thaksin's movement and ensure their countries are not being used as a springboard for political attacks against Thailand.

France has recently issued a ban on Thaksin from delivering a speech at a seminar on the political crisis in Thailand. He then reportedly flew to London.
