  1. They did a check at my friends mechanic but I'm guessing they didn't really take a super close look. They said everything looked fine. What would it cost to have it looked at by kawasaki you reckon? It's old and I really don't want to spend even more money on it.
  2. Mostly too and from work about 6 km each way.
  3. Oil and everything changed. Color looks the same after having driven less than 15 km. It works completely fine. Could it be the glass itself? Should I take it to Kawa just to be sure?
  4. The previous shop checked the engine and said all the seals look fine and no water in the engine. I know I know. I just didn't have time today. Will go back and ask them to check. But he said it's most likely the waterpump because on this model it often breaks down around 30k km? But that it wouldn't damage the engine lol. This is kinda why I didn't wanna go to Kawa in Bangkok they don't seem professional.
  5. Went to kawasaki now. He said they can't check what's the problem because oil just recently changed. He recommended me to keep driving and see if it becomes milky again. He said it might be the water pump? But that it wouldn't damage the engine.
  6. So the mechanic said he checked everything. Seals look fine. No water in the system. Changed oil.
  7. As always trying to cut corners tend to get more expensive in the end. My mechanic says he looked and did not notice any leaks in any of the seals etc. But might have to take it to Kawa in the end.
  8. If "my" mechanic didn't say anything do what I asked him to then what would that cost if taken to the kawasaki dealership? I mean just to get it checked and not necessarily fixed.
  9. This guy owns big bike kawasaki and my friend has had his bike repaired there so I thought they could do a check up first and if not I'll take it to kawasaki.
  10. Yes it was but I haven't picked it up yet and he's yet to answer my message... My friend said they're good but now I don't know.
  11. I'll ask the mechanic if he checked the head gasket and or the casing. Thank you.
  12. The guy I took it to said everything looked fine. No leaks anywhere. Which doesn't make sense. He changed the oil. But I'm using Google translate so it's a bit difficult to understand. Yes I checked it at two different locations trying to keep the bike straight and not on the kickstand. Both times the levels are a bit low and the color milky brown like in the attached photos No I never got the valve clearances checked. There's no oil or blue smoke around the exhaust. Can't see any oil around the bike. It doesn't smell wierd or anything.
  13. Just handed it over to the shop. They'll take a look and message me when they're done.
  14. The guy I go to owns a bike big and seems knowledgeable. But if someone has any good recommendations I'm open for it.
  15. 650R is the predecessor. I think they changed the name after the - 10 model? I'm in Rama 9/Phra Khanong. I've only ridden it to work during weekdays which is 7 km each way since I had the oil topped up a month or so back. The photos are taken after its been idle for a few minutes. I'm holding the bike leveled and not on its stand.
  16. Second hand. I'll take it to the mechanic today. Hope it's not gonna be too much as I already spent way too much on it...
  17. Holding it straight. They just topped it off after that as far as I'm aware. I had an oil change before the floods. Then last month the kawasaki dealership just topped it up because they said the level was low. And now it seems the level is low yet again.
  18. I'll go to my friends place. I just checked there's no oil leaks anywhere that I can see. Exhaust is not oily. No wierd noises or anything. When it's off there's no oil in the viewing glass. When idling for 1 minute it reaches barely above minimum despite having topped it off 1 month ago. Could it be that water got into the system after I rode home in the floods that happened 2-3 months ago? I had to go through deep puddles and once water even washed over the wind shield.
  19. What do you think having the bike looked over would cost?
  20. Well mine's not got any warranty. I'll take it to a mechanic to get it checked out. What's the best vs worst case scenario for me?
  21. I've been riding it now for maybe a month with zero issues since the latest oil change. It starts fine. No weird sounds or any signs of any mechanical issues at all. But I'll get it checked out. I'd prefer not to go to kawasaki as they're expensive. What about the milky brown color of the engine oil? Coolant leaking? Blown headgasket? Do you mean that yours was consuming alot of oil?
  22. Have never noticed any leaks anywhere on the ground. Will check the exhaust pipe. What about the muddy brown color? That's not good, right?
  23. It seems my bike is consuming alot of oil. I had it refilled in June. Then went to the kawasaki dealership 4 weeks ago and they said my oil levels were low again so they topped it up. Now I just checked the oil levels and I couldn't see any oil. Then I took a short ride to work and I can see some oil but not that much. I'm trying to stand the bike straight when I took the photos. The bike runs fine a bit clunky on the first gear but I can't notice any other issues. The oil lamp doesn't light on either. Is this normal or is there a leak somewhere?
  24. Any specific reason? Just better riding in general?
  25. Not really a day trip but I'm planning a weekend trip. Kanchanaburi or Khao yai. Erawan national park is a bit further out than what Khao yai is but which one would you choose over the weekend?
