it’s very strange behavior and is making me nervous about cleaning my house in the future. am I allowed to wash my own clothes or do I need to get the mrs to do that as well? where does this madness end? bob. -
I am currently staying at my main house with mrs. smith. we have just arrived back after a nice little vacation touring around Thailand. I came back home early this morning and noticed that the yard was a bit messy so i got the broom out and started sweeping. About 10 minutes later I heard a noise from over my fence. it was the juristic girl, she said hello and asked me if I was thai. I said no, she then said in broken english, ‘oh i'm so sorry but you cannot be working here’ I said i'm not working i'm cleaning my house. to which she replied, that under thai law that is classed as work and I cannot do it without a work permit. she said that they offer cleaning services in the project and I was stealing jobs from a Thai. so I said what happens if I spill some coffee on the floor, can I mop it up or do I have to call a thai to come to do it? she just smiled and walked away.. I was stunned. she said that if i didn't stop immediately she would take a photo and send it to the head office. I reluctantly stopped and went to make a brew inside. is she correct in what she is saying? under thai law is it illegal for a foreigner to clean his own house and the land that it sits on? it’s absolute madness imo. they seem to be watching us like hawks at the moment, looking for any excuse to catch us out.. regards, bob.

I’ve seen the video and I didn’t see a kick. Neither did you. if you want to see a video of a real assault by thai people on foreigners then type in on youtube ‘Hua Hin british family’ bob. -
I didn’t go on the motorway and I didn’t drive to Pattaya. I said ‘further than that’. There are normal roads that scooters can drive on all over Thailand. bob.

Yes. I’ve done further than that on a 110cc whilst intoxicated. bob.

of course it is.. what’s your visa agents name? regards, bob. -
actually, Enoon, I would argue that leaving the country every 90 days is a lot more admirable than doing the draconian 90 day reports.. at least they don’t get to make you dance to their horrible tune.. you get to leave every 3 months for a holiday, entirely of your own accord! I would much rather spend my time taking 3 days out tapping up the local brass abroad than having to deal with a sour faced IO on a power trip. bob.

What Are Human Rights? Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more. Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination read that and tell me (with a straight face) that all of the above applies to ALL foreigners living in Thailand in 2024. bob.
