  1. Thank you for your answers, very helpful already! Our place only has a tiny off-grid system, so we need only one or two 24V batteries in the size of 200-300 Ah, that's enough for our needs. Therefore, any kind of cell-configuration that does the job would be ok.
  2. Greetings! I am looking for new batteries for our off-grid solar system, something like 280Ah 24V LiFePO4 batteries would be convenient. Does anyone have any recommendations where to find/buy them in the area of Chiang Mai ? Please do not recommend Lazada or any other Internet Warehouse, i have researched them at length already, i'd like to buy locally. Thank you very much!
  3. Thank you for all your suggestions. I have searched at Lazada and HomePro online already, there do not seem to be any suitable items available. Maybe i can rephrase my question: Where in Chiang Mai may one i find a stainless-steel furniture shop? I frequently see stainless-steel cupboards, maybe there are boxes available too....?
  4. Good afternoon, i am looking for a large sized metal lockable storage box, similar size as those ubiquitous plastic storage containers, maybe around 150x60x60 or so.... Can be made out of sheet metal or aluminium or something similar, just not plastic, too easy to break in. Could also be a large sized lockable metal tool box. Would anyone have a recommendation where to buy such a box?
  5. There used to be a TravelCard for the Airport Rail Link available, which you could top-up with a few hundred Baht. This card makes traveling City-Airport very convenient, does anyone know whether it is still available? I am currently outside the country, so i can't investigate myself...thank you everyone! Here is an example picture:
  6. The hospital is named NakornPing. Directly opposite the hospital on Chotana Road is a 7/11. In this area there is an abundance of room for rent tailormade for your purposes. Some of them can be seen on Google Maps. It's best to go there and examine the places in person, as they do vary considerably.
  7. Greetings, living uphill Chiang Mai, i would like to replace an existing PVC water pipe running through the forest from our water source with a metal one (galvanised steel e.g.) The PVC pipe tends to break quite easily or it gets chewed by moles and mice or the forest fires damage it. Total length may be around 150-200 metres. Does anyone have any recommendations on brand, quality and where to get the pipes? Online-orders or somewhere in the area of Chiang Mai would be great! Thank you!
  8. An update: Re-entry permit at CNX airport has moved from: -BEFORE the security check on the left to -AFTER the security check on the right. (The counter before security is still there, but they will direct you to the one after security)
  9. Thank you everybody for all your good suggestions. I now have found a reliable person to help me with my solar system, so the topic may be closed.
  10. An update: i now have a quote for LiFePO4 batteries from a Solarshop in the Sanpatong area: IONIC brand 12V 100Ah 9000Baht or 24V 250Ah 43000Baht 2 years warranty Any ideas on that?
  11. Yes, that's why i would like to buy the batteries "ready-made" at a reliable shop. But i can't seem to find one here in Chiang Mai. Are there any reliable online shops? The old lead-acid battery setup was 360Ah.
  12. Thank you everybody for all the information, much welcome! Some background: The system has been running successfully for a number of years already; only now the lead-acid batteries have deteriorated so much, that the refrigerator can be run only in daytime. Therefore, i am going to replace them with LiFePo4 batteries. On this occasion, i was thinking of buying a new charger/inverter too. After studying the tech-specs yesterday, i have seen that the minimum amount of power required for the C/I combo recommended by BritManToo (which looks like a decent machine) is 6 panels connected serially. As i would like to keep my current setup of 4panels parallel, i may stay with the old 24V 1000W Inverter and only invest in a new charger. (most likely PowMr, thanks to Crossy). Does anyone have recommendations for a reliable source of LiFePo4 batteries here in Chiang Mai?
  13. Thank you for your reply. I am planning to run: -One 2-door refrigerator Mitsubishi MR-15F -10 LED light-bulbs -a few mobile-phone chargers
  14. I am looking for a solar charger/inverter combo. It would be needed for a small off-grid system, 4x330W panels, LiFePO4-batteries. 2000W inverter would be nice. Unfortunately, i can't afford Victron or any other high-quality brand. Thank you everybody for your input!
