Not strictly true. If your hypothetical tax in country B Thailand would be higher than what you’ve already paid in country A, you are liable to pay the difference.

That won’t make you non tax resident. If you spend a total of 180 days here in a tax year you’re tax resident. It’s not 180 days consecutively it’s 180 days in total….
