  1. Two questions: 1. For example, if you are granted the 10 year visa on 1 Jan 2023, but you enter Thailand on 1 April 2023, will the 5 year permit is from 1 Jan 2023 to 1 Jan 2028 or from 1 April 2023 to 1 April 2028? 2. Unlike Elite visa, if at the end of the first 5 year permit, you can not qualify for LTR, for example, laid off or salary reduction, etc. will the second 5 year permit still be granted? if not, will BOI refund the visa fee? Since you paid 10 year visa fee at the first stage.
  2. In that case, the 5 years begins the date you first entered Thailand. For example, if your visa is from 1 Oct 2022 to Sep 30 2032. The first day you entered Thailand is 1 August 2023, then your admitted until will be 31 July 2028, is that right?
  3. What does it mean "applicant have to work remotely for overseas company from Thailand"?
  4. how can you fill in WP46? That form looks like you have already had some employer in Thailand to hire you.
  5. @MistyWhen you applied for the work permit, have you provided the medical certificate?
  6. Based on my observation, BOI is quite picky and very reluctant to let you pass, which can be testified by the passing rate. Even if you qualify for the conditions, they still take a very conservative position.
  7. I applied on the first day of the opening: September 1. But my case was eventually finalised after two and a half months. Since I was not in a hurry, I did not push them at all. However, after more than two months, the status was still showing "Pending", it was quite frustrating. Then I called them and they approved my case at the same day of calling. Let us assume if I had not called at that day, I guess probably my case would have still been "pending" until now.
  8. It looks like they only check after 10 years. For the second 5 years, it seems not. But not for sure. https://ltr.boi.go.th/documents/Announcement of the Office of the Board of Investment_No.3-2565 (EN).pdf Article 4 and 5.
  9. Actually for 10 years. When renewal after the first 5 years, it automatically approves your second 5 years.
  10. I don't believe you need to meet the criteria for the 5 years, or even 10 years. You just need to meet the requirement at the time of application. After that, even if you lose your job and earn zero income, you can still get 5+5 year Visa. Look at the law https://ltr.boi.go.th/documents/Announcement of the Office of the Board of Investment_No.3-2565 (EN).pdf
  11. The E-visa has the permission of stay but no re-entry stamps. So let us take an example, it your visa is Jan 1 Year 1 and your first entry is Jan 1 Year 4, The stamp you get in Airport is Jan 1 Year 5 or Jan 1 Year 9? If you don't enter first before Jan 1 Year 5, can you still use the visa? say April Year 5?
  12. Thanks for sharing. I just read Item 4 and item 5 and compare them altogether, the difference of wording seems like two situations are different.
