  1. Yes agree, sorry I wasn't very clear was I. I meant in terms of reliability.
  2. I can look for prices no problem but want to know what is good and what isn't so good.
  3. Yes, I opened a couple of oven doors and one seemed flimsy so that was an instant no.
  4. I am looking for personal experiences people have of uses appliances. Salesmen don't always tell the truth....
  5. Chiang Mai. Guessing better to go with a brand that has a local service presence in case of any future issues too. Been to look at Baan and Beyond and Boonthavoon so far.
  6. Looking to put in a new kitchen and most of the brands here I am unfamiliar with. Not going fir top spec, something reliable but not too expensive. Went to a couple of large stores, one suggested a franke range and the other a fotile one. I am aware of Franke's reputation for sinks but didn't know the made kitchen appliances. Fotile, I have never heard of but the salesguy told me they are the number 1 bestseller in China and are good quality. Bosch could be an option albeit quite a bit more expensive, but I didn't like the looks of the ones available. Does anyone have any previous good or bad experiences they can share please?
  7. Any updates on KSK itself?

  9. Felt my house shake in Tha Sala
  10. I thoroughly recommend the CEC Christmas Meal. The first time we went to the Meridien but 3 years ago pre covid we went to the Le Crystal restaurant.
  11. I had another more specific thread but wanted to start a generic one which woukd be useful for members. Having done further research it would seem clear that an employer must give one of the valid reasons listed in the act in order to dismiss you, and if they don't you are likely to win the case. Is it really that clear-cut, i.e. 100% win in all cases for the employer when the following reasons aren't followed? Said reasons according to the law are: The employee performs his/her duty dishonestly or intentionally committed a criminal offence against the employer. The employee willfully caused damage to the employer. The employee committed negligent acts which caused serious damage to the employer. The employee violated work rules, regulations or orders of the employer which are lawful and just, and after a written warning was given by the employer, except for in serious cases with no requirement for the employer to give warning. The written warning shall be valid for not exceeding one year from the date when the employee committed the offence. The employee was absent from duty without justifiable reason for three consecutive working days regardless of whether there is a holiday in between. The employee was sentenced to imprisonment by a final court judgment. If the imprisonment is for offences committed by negligence or a petty offense, it shall be an offense that causes damage to the employer
