Just heard this in the news very sad,I know it’s a cliche but I will say it anyway they just don’t make ‘em like this anymore a true hero in every single sense of the word! Men of honour that saw it as their duty to defend Western Europe against the Nazi threat,they went about that duty without a single word of complaint and when they got home they didn’t talk about it ever again to anyone. I have heard stories of these guys’ plane engines being on fire,they removed the canopy of the plane and walked down the wing with a fire extinguisher to put out the fire acts of bravery that literally defy all belief? The world is a worse place today without this guy around teaching anyone younger than him the values that he held for all of his life,prepared to go to war and sacrifice his life without even a thought of questioning why,sleep well now Johnny Johnson you have earnt it more that just about anyone else in this world and thank you for your service. R.I.P. Johnny Johnson.
