  1. When a candidate is as hated as RFK is by the mainstream media (propaganda) then there’s a good chance your on to a winner. Almost as hated as Trump.
The only candidate that I know of that looks to have some integrity and an independent, not part of the uniparty.

I see a lot of propaganda about how "dangerous" he is but never anything to support it.

Perhaps you can explain just how Trump is dangerous, as I have no idea what you mean by it- is he going to create an army of Brown shirts ( in the next 6 months ) to arrest all the liberals and put them in concentration camps perhaps, or invite the Russians to take over the US, or some such?

I suspect you don't actually have anything to back up your rhetoric, so I won't hold my breath waiting for an explanation.

    EDIT

  3. Cut her off. Block all comms. Move elsewhere if she knows where you live because you dont want her showing up out of nowhere after a few weeks. Otherwise shut up and deal with it, it's your choice.

Daughter went to Thammasat, rated #6 (in Thailand) for business/economics, even though accepted at the other 3.   Submitted her application too late for Chula.   Except for 'Songkhla, we actually visited the other 3 campuses, along with a few others, talking with students & alumni, before choosing, and money well spent:

Many of the top universities are really only good due to the networking effects.

I think this is probably true for Thailand too Or do the who's who in Thai society study abroad?

My local hospital confirmed they don't offer a podiatrist service and referred me to a local private clinic.

600 BHT per toenail. Booked in this coming Saturday.

I plan on going to a local clinic in the coming days in Phuket. If nothing else I expect they can point me in the right direction. 600b seems cheap, I wonder if they provide a good service? Where are you located?

If you can find an aloe vera plant apply the gel. And stay off the foot as much as you can.

If only raw and no sign of infection there isn't much a podiatrist can do even if you could find one.

What do you do with an ingrown toenail in Thailand, Is there no podiatrists/chiropodist?
Looks like my big toe might be getting infected with this now.

  8. Ok I'll kick it off to get the ball rolling. I won't go too deep into the thesis of these a brief outline.

    1 - WHC - Whitehaven coal - Price $7.70 - ASX listed - $A6.5B MC

Recently acquired assets from BHP that will more than double their coal production in Queensland Australia. Will go from being an almost fully thermal coal producer to predominantly met coal producer. Didn't use any equity to acquire the assets yet the MC has barely increased since the acquisition. Near term catalyst of selldown of 20-30% of newly aquired assets to pay off existing $1.4B in debt and resume buybacks and increase dividends. Fully franked dividends so no withholding taxes for foreign investors.

    2 - ADT - Adriatic metals - $4.56 - ASX listed - Circa $A1.3B MC

Commissioning ongoing in Bosnia, first production over the last few weeks ramping up throughout the year. A risky stage of mining investment but if they can pull it off the stock should do well. High grade precious metals and Polymetalic project. Big silver producer so if your bullish PMs especially silver this has good torque to upside there.

    2 - B2G - B2 Gold - $2.55 - NYSE - $3.3B MC

Stock is close to 52 weeks lows despite gold at all time highs. One of the world's biggest producers has had issues in Africa with government implementing a new mining code and its weighing badly on the stock. If some resolution can be reached that will lift some of the handbrake off thats weighing it down. Great management, building a new mine in Canada right now, 6% yield, close to debt free. Not alot has to go right for this to be re-rated. If gold goes higher that would be great but they dont need higher gold prices to be spitting out cash next year. On the lower costs producers globally. 2024 is a rebuilding year will go from circa 850k oz to 1.2-1.3m oz next year is what the company says.

  9. I might start this thread yearly. Bit late to the mark this year as Im smarter and wiser now than I was in Jan 2024 when I didn't have this idea come to me.
We can review at year end 2024 to see who can gloat a bit or alot or who gets their head dunked in cold water to waken them up from a terrible pick to choose wiser in the year ahead.

SO go on then, what is your top 3 stock, crypto or other picks from now until year end that you think will give you the best returns.

Name three stocks and give the ticker and the price today and an explanation of why you are bullish on that stock.

Of course nobody on here can give anybody else investing advise unless you are a profession advisor.

Nothing in this thread is investment advice, This is just a game for fun, a bit like fantasy football, Let's keep it that way.

  10. The LTR is only a good option for a specific subset of people. Highly qualified, masters degree types, working for a listed company overseas, niche areas. Not many people apply/qualify for it outside the category of those 50 years old or older with good income. The ones on retirement visas are ones with lower income otherwise the LTR is a no brainer. Its easily the best visa for Thailand if you are over 50 with >$80k p.an income.

If you under 50 you have to invest $500k in Thailand along with a min income requirement of $80k. For those over 50 you only need $40k proof of income if you invest $250k otherwise $80k with no investment.

It doesn't make much sense for somebody under 50 to go with the LTR compared to the elite unless you are totally set on Thailand and plan on buying a nice place here to live in. That or $500k isn't material to your net worth. That $500k investment into Thailand could be invested elsewhere and it would pay for a 10+10 year elite visa in a lowish risk investment in the space of three years.

There are personal situation that need to be considered for any visa

These elderly guys on those electric scooters, bloody dangerous.

Alot of them seem to hate life. Driving around with no respect for other road users. Foot to the floor, look at me Im an invalid make way. I dont think its a case of that they think they own the road I think its that they are so angry with life and their situation in the world that they dont care if they get hit. Until they do.

Most likely his injuries would have been less "critical" if he had followed basic safety guidelines.

The helmets here break like an egg.

There is no testing here like in Australia, US and elsewhere.

Anybody who has any proper biking experience would be aware of this. Most of these folks would import helmets from abroad.

I could go and open a helmet manufacturing shop tomorrow if I wanted.
All new lightweight paper mache helmets, Made in Thailand. Super lightweight Make you go 20% faster.

Id probably get some incentives by the government too for providing jobs.

Similar price to the Op PM if interested.

Reason for sale: can use a marriage visa & stopped playing golf…

Airport trx is incredibly convenient though.

Prices have been rising all the time. It was prob about 500k when you bought it? Nice investment.

For that group, having to apply for an extension every 90 days instead of once a year makes it a less attractive option.

I dropped my passport to a local law firm 10 mins from my place on a day when I was travelling close to their office.
90 day report done and ready to be picked up the next day, I picked it up a few of days later.

Didn't have to go near immigration. Nothing to pay. Couldn't have been easier.

  15. This is a very busy road in Rawai. Restaurants, cafes and accommodation dotted all along the road. It's close to a very sharp bend where traffic comes to a standstill most of the time. The bike looks to be going quite fast given the location but it doesn't matter how fast he is going the car cut right in front of him and the bike didn't come out of nowhere, the car is at fault. Hopefully the driver makes a full recovery and is compensated for his hospital bills, loss of earnings and repairs to bike.
