  1. I'm curious about the following situation: I'm in my home country now, and I'm applying for a Tourist eVisa, but I'm not sure if I'll get my eVisa in time before entering Thailand. So then I'll enter Thailand with a Visa Exempt. My question is: could I, after entering Thailand, go to the border of (let's say) Mae Sai/Tachilek which is open again if I'm correct, and then re-enter Thailand with that Tourist eVisa that I've gotten too late?
  2. What's the most reliable taxi app to use in Bangkok? Grab, Bolt or InDrive? I've heard that Grab is the most expensive, but is it also the most reliable app?
  3. And that was not too far walking from Arrivals, since I've got quite some luggage with me?
  4. Good idea. Do you know if it's easy to order a Bolt or Grab straight from Don Meuang Airport, or do I have to move somewhere outside of the airport first?
  5. What's the best way to direct a taxi driver from Don Meuang Airport to a hotel somewhere in Bangkok, without wasting time finding it? Is it correct most taxi drivers don't use Google Maps?
  6. So they knew you were using an agent? Or is this always obvious to them? ????
  7. Wow, you really need to have guts to do that! Suppose the IO rejects your offer, would you then nonchalantly walk out of the office? ????
  8. But what if the agent can't "find" an IO in my province and has to look elsewhere?
  9. So you're saying (and please correct me if I'm wrong) that when an agent registers me in a different province I could still do the 90 day reporting in my own province? And at immigration in my own province they won't notice the fact that I've been registered in a different province?
  10. So the address the agent uses is also the same address as for the 90 day reporting? And if that address is not my actual address, I guess the agent then has to do the reporting, since I don't think (s)he will tell me where that is? And after the agent does the 90 day reporting, can I check if it has been done "properly"?
  11. Your post makes me think of another issue that isn't clear to me: if the agent registers me in a different province than the one I'm living in and he does the extensions from that province, but my landlord registers me (of course) at the place I'm actually living in, doesn't that create problems regarding 90 day reporting? Or does the 90 day reporting then also need to be done by the visa agent from that different province?
  12. When using an agent to fund the Non O retirement "visa" (extension of stay based on retirement), does it make any difference if the agent registers me in another province or if he registers me in the place where I'm actually residing, Chiang Mai? I've heard that Chiang Mai is a bit a difficult place in this regard.
  13. Liverpool Lou, I just sent you a private message.
  14. Not much, but it's more the principle that counts here.
  15. It's a long story but GRAB tells me to give the bank the PSP transaction ID & KBank transaction ID which I've given to my bank. My bank asks for the ARN (whatever that is) and when I ask GRAB to give the ARN they come up with the same answer as before, not mentioning the ARN.
  16. I'd like to complain about the handling of an issue by GRAB Help Center about a refund that should have been on my bank account but the bank can't find it and GRAB is not very helpful. I can't find a section on the GRAB app where I can complain about the Help Center. Anyone who knows where I can complain?
