  1. By the way i haven't just stayed in Thailand for 7 months solidly, in between each expiry (visa & exemptions) I went to Indonesia for 3 weeks, Vietnam for 10 days and now Philippines and Vietnam for almost the past 3 weeks. I don't know if that makes a difference
  2. Hi thanks for the reply. I'll be flying from Da Nang to Bkk. People keep mentioning CNX what makes Chiang Mai easier to enter do you think? And yes unable to obtain a visa for now so I'm left with no other option. I'm thinking this next one will be ok but I may face problems for my next entry around April or May. Also do you think I'll have problems extending this exemption? (Don't worry I know I'm trying my luck a lot here) I only really need two more entries then I will be going home in the summer and can hopefully apply for a METV. Thanks
  3. Ok thanks for the advice. I know of people that were in and out of Thailand for over two years on exemptions and tourist visas and although faced a lot of questioning were allowed in every time. I do believe the borders are much tighter now and since covid the world has changed
  4. Hi thanks for your reply. Yes thats correct, 1 tourist visa and two exemptions. And no i'm not in my home country I am in Vietnam after travelling to the Philippines for a week. I will be going back to Thailand after around 18 days out of the country. So with the METV you can stay for a maximum of two months at a time is the correct? but it's valid for 6 months in total? When applying for my first Thai visa I did not see this option to be honest. I'm a British citizen if that helps. Any advice to help me extend my stay there for as long as possible is welcome Thanks again
  5. If I'm honest I wasn't aware of the METV until you mentioned it. I am assuming i have to be in my home country like most visa applications and i won't be returning home until July (I already had a visa application rejected due to not being in home country) So that's why for now I'm planning on using visa exemptions. When I return to Thailand it will be about 18 days since I was last there. I've gone from the Philippines to Vietnam then i will fly back to Bangkok.
  6. Hi all I was wondering if anyone knows the limit to how many visa free waivers you are allowed per year when entering by air to Thailand. I have used a two month visa which i extended (June – Aug 22′) then two visa waivers (Sep - Aug & November - January, extending this one by a month) with visa runs in between. I am about to come back to Thailand in Feb and am a bit worried they are going to question me at the airport or refuse entry. I’ve seen conflicting reports online that you are allowed up to six per calendar year when flying in and some say only two. I'm hoping to come in and out of Thailand for most of this year with visa runs in between (if I'm allowed) until I return home. If anyone can answer my question or suggest any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
