If you search in Google for "Mitas E-07 Tires Thailand" then you see the Mitas Facebook page as first or second ... they have contact details...

The Mitas E-07 maybe look rough, but they roll really smooth. If you ride on the tarmac you could believe you have standard road tires... And off-road they perform pretty well. In Thai "clay" mud they sometimes outperform full MX tires... (full MX/off-road tires pickup the clay between the knobbies and get even slipper)

  2. Motorcycle Thailand already posted the Thai/English parts catalog and free to download English Owner’s manual, which mains that the Yamaha XSR900 is actually coming. One of the editors I connected replied that tomorrow Motorcycle Thailand will reveal more information…

  3. The 256GB Samsung SSD works perfect, I didn’t tested how long it takes for MS Windows 10 to start up, but it looks close to instantly. The 1TB WD hard drive I had bought a few months back when the difference between 1 and 2TB was much greater…

For the upgrade I have decided to replace the graphics card, the current AMD/ATI HD6670 is not supported anymore what means no driver updates… The AMD/ATI HD6670 is not even that old, therefore no more AMD/ATI graphics card for me, it seems that Nvidia supports its graphic cards much longer – the GTX4XX series which was sold at the same time as the AMD/ATI HD6670 is still supported and has currently even drivers that support DirectX 12…

  4. You might tell us what you use your computer for.

If you are a gamer, a graphics card and RAM might be benificial. If you use Adobe products, RAM and faster processor might be for you. Just surfing, stick with your current config.

There is not just a fitting answer. Also you can upgrade your graphics card but if your processor can 'pull' the game you're out of luck.

Currently I use MS Windows 10 Professional 64-bits, I have MS Offices 2013 (32-bits), Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, Adobe Acrobat 9.5, Corel CorelDraw X7 Technical Suit 86_X64 and Corel Paintshop Pro X6 86_X64. I use my computer for graphical design and website development…

I have currently only one game installed which is Civilization V (The Complete Edition)…

What I understand is that the new Intel i5-6600 is much faster with graphics, but not faster than an Nvidia GTX950 graphics card

  5. My desktop computer is an Intel i5-2500 with an Asus P8P67-M motherboard, with 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz memory, for graphics I have an AMD HD6670 graphics card.

I have the idea to upgrade, but moving to a new Intel socket 1151 mainboard means I have to buy a new processor, mainboard and memory… Which is not the cheapest option, a sales person at my local Jib computer shop recommended that I just bought a new Nvidia GTX950 graphics card and ensured me that I will be good for a year or two… (Buying just a new graphics card is obvious the cheaper option)…

    What people here recommend?

  6. Stories like this is why Linux has never taken off and will never be mainstream, it is, and still is, an OS for geeks who have the knowledge to deal "command lines" something I have not had to use since the not so good old days of DOS

You forget that Linux is the most used operating system in the world. First you have to ask what Linux is… The answer is that Linux is the kernel that runs in the background, this kernel is used for every Android phone and tabled, numerous smart TV’s and who knows how much pay TV and satellite receiver boxes and not forget how much routers and firewall network products are using the kernel?

Some Linux Distributions, what basically means the Linux kernel with other packages that will for a useful product can be considered not ready for mainstream users. But we should not forget that the Linux distribution discussed here is more than 2-years old and is based on a Linux kernel that is 3-years old, sure the kernel still receives security updates… but security updates do not include support for new hardware…

I bet that some modern hardware also would have some problems if you try to use it with MS Windows 2000, XP or Vista… Especially if the vendor doesn’t have the appropriated software drivers….

  7. Okay I found a solution already, for Big Mountain Festival this year there are two providers for accommodation, the first is the original organizers which offer two option rent a small two-person tent or rent camping space and setup your own tent… the second company is new for this even and has 3 different tents available, first is the basic size, which is the same small size as the original organizers have, the second size is a bit bigger and they also have even bigger tents available… all pre-setup and with security guards and CCTV cameras to secure the camping side…

The website is http://www.uchoice.asia (for anybody else who is interested).

Don't forget the mozzie nets, and use plenty of mozzie cream.

Thanks for the tip, didn't think of that... :)

  9. The DDR3/2400 memory is supported, the motherboard supports up to DDR3/3200 memory in OC mode. What brings me back to my original question, with modern Z97 BIOS systems some overclocking abilities are not available if you have a processor that is not overclockable.

So if somebody has a motherboard with Intel Z97 chipset and a regular processor can you still use the Intel XMP (Extreme Memory Profiles) in your BIOS setup?

  10. Here in Bangkok in Panthip the prices for 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3/1600 G.Skill Trident X is 5590 THB, and for the 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3/2400 G.Skill Trident X I pay 5890 THB..... What sis only a price difference of 300 THB

Intel i5-4690 cost 7490 THB, which is 3610 THB more... for my application I only need single core performance, the Intel i3-4160 is probably the best single-core performance to price and performance... if I can pump the performance just a bit more with faster memory it would be helpful...

  11. I wanted to buy a Gigabyte Z97-HD3 mainboard and an Intel i3-4160 processor. The question is if I buy DDR3 / 2400 (2x 8GB) memory can I setup XMP memory profile to make use of this faster memory… Some people tell me if I have an Intel processor which cannot be overclocked I have in the BIOS no access to the overclocking capabilities of the mainboard. The sales guy at the Panthip shop was not helpful at all…. So therefore I ask it here….

  12. Not against it per se, but at current exchange rate of 115.5k baht, why not just go up to the CB300 and deck that out for a touring bike?

The Zongshen rx3 has 18 hp (less than the CBR 150!) and has to move 385 lbs (175 kg). The 300F has a dyno'd 26.2HP and only weighs 348 lbs (158 kg) full of fluids. Would think the boring Honda reliability as well as the nationwide dealership support would win even though you have to pay ~500 USD (15K THB) more as well as adding on all the rest of the bits and bobs.

According to all information I can find about the Zongshen RX3 is that it has 24 horsepower or 18.5kW power, so I guess you made the classic mistake to see kW for HP.
