  1. Moto2 World Championship racer Ratthapark Wilairot, the only Thai racer in the series, is in the intensive care unit of Bangkok's Bamrungrad Hospital after suffering head injuries in a streetbike crash near his home in Chon Buri, Thailand, on Monday.

Wilairot was a passenger on a motorcycle ridden by his friend, who died at the scene, at the time of the accident. According to the Bangkok Post, the racer is out of danger but is still unconscious.

  2. I found that most Shark helmets available in Thailand you can now buy super cheap on websites like www.bikebandit.com, prices start at 70 US$ (delivery charges are not that high also).

What about duty on those rascals? I need a new helmet and am hoping to spend less than 7000 baht. Last time I checked, the Sharks were about 15,000 baht or more.

I bought for my g/f a Shark RSF 3 Triax Full Face Helmet (from bikebandit.com) and paid in Thailand at the door in Khon Kaen 5500 Baht. The helmet costs by bikebandit US$142.93 x 30 Baht = 4287.90 Baht. So I guess I paid 1,212 Baht for shipping, handling and tax... what is almost 50% of the price of the most simplest RSF3 helmet in Thailand.

  3. I read that the standard Honda PCX variator has 6 rollers. The force generated by the rollers is usually a compromise as any adjustment is limited to 6 rollers. As a result other aftermarket variators or rollers are often combined with a different rear pulley spring to get a good balance. It is not easy to get the combination correct. If you race and have time and money to spend with all the different combinations, then maybe it works for you. If however you only ride on the street then J Costa has already done all the work for you

Unleash the existing hidden power of your Honda PCX, 125cc scooter. This is possible with the J Costa variator for the Honda PCX, soon available at dealers in Thailand. Many Honda PCX owners express a desire for better acceleration or top speed. The easiest and simplest way to achieve this on Honda PCX is to replace the variator and get extra performance without having to modify the engine

  4. Honda also plans to install an antilock brake system (ABS) in 250cc or larger motorcycles, except off-road models, by 2010.

    Source: motorcycle.com

The Honda Combi-ABS feels reassuringly normal as it buries its front into the Honda test track, exhibiting none of the lever pulse that's become synonymous with ABS systems. The 250cc Honda test stays remarkably stable as I trail-brake easing my grip on the lever as I approach the apex

  5. The rules of insurance are really easy, if you have a license plate you can get insurance. No license plates no insurance. Sure you can get insurance for your garage, some low-life criminal takes your ATV you get your money back... But if you park at 7Eleven and they take it there you can forget about filling a claim...

  6. Somebody every looked at the link of aphonda? It says 2008, if I am correct we live in 2010?

Also I can still see the Honda CBR 150R on the price list from motorcycle thailand, it only says its an old model and maybe available at some dealer???

Today I was at the Bangkok motorshow and nothing about the CBR 150R, model is an old model, sorry sir “no-have” was the answer ask about fuel-injection no sir no fuel injection model available old motocyc no-have

  7. @Neverdie

I tuoi dati chiaramente diverso da informazioni in mio possesso

Your relative most be very mobile person, the distance between head office (Thailand) and the nearest factory is not that near to another.

  8. Sorry they where surely not a small dealer, they had in stock 25 Honda PCX and Wave 110i, 10 Honda AirBlade-I and same amount of Click-i and Wave 125i. They had 4 Honda Phantom TA200 on sale with free 'many' goodies. Info about the Honda CBR150 ended in "no have information, we order but not come"

  9. I think this is still on topic. Can anyone quote prices , out the door, for new CBR 150, Tiger 250 and Ninja 250 ? Thanks.

My CBR150 was out the door at 64,500 six months ago and the prices have not changed ...at that dealer anyway.

They have stock on the floor now. (in Rayong) PM me if u want the dealer name.

The dealer I contacted told me that they had problems ordering CBR150R, the orders where rejected??

  10. Even 3G in Laos is faster then the average ADSL connection in Thailand. I had my notebook with me and needed to connect to the Internet, I used one of these new SIMS with 3G promotion available in Laos. When I connected I totally forgot that I was running a download client for a torrent. It was amazingly fast.

I can remember the days that we bought AIS-GSM credit in Thailand to keep connected to the Thai GSM network, now it is visa-versa, if you are near the border you maybe better off getting a Laos GSM/3G connection

  11. Exhaust covers are not uncommon, I can give you a good selection of motorcycle which use it. Basically it helps the chromium to stay clear and will last longer. Most chromed exhaust systems have problems that the steel of the pipe has other shrink and expansion properties that chromium during heating. Therefore most chromed exhaust pipes not last long...

  12. The use of Windows 7 on a Atom 280 would be disappointing, the Atom N280 processor doesn't support (Intel Atom N280 specs) Intel® Virtualization Technology. So the whole Windows XP compatible (and with it the previous 8 or 16-bits code compatible modes) will not be available.

I wanted to use MS Office 2000 (I have legal version) on my Atom netboot, MS Office 2000 is maybe old, but it is basically already overkill of what I do on my little netbook, write some letters, do some spreadsheets nothing serious. But MS Office 2000 doesn't work with Windows 7, so you need the virtual Windows XP which doesn't work with a Atom processor (I would love it when Microsoft did not used disk space for stuff that not work anyway)

  13. Windows 7 has not the ability to run, emulate or code translate any 16-bit coding, for this you need to depend on the virtual Windows XP. For most of us who do business on our Windows computers... this means buying a new motherboard and processor if you want to run most financial software used today. (or upgrade to new version, often more expensive then buying a new computer)

  14. Microsoft's new Virtual XP Mode in Windows 7 requires hardware virtualization, but with all the news surrounding this feature, users are wondering "Am I able to run Virtual XP Mode?"

What many people not realize is that there processor or motherboard doesn't support X86-virtualization, you can download the check software here Intel and AMD

For the people who have no processor or motherboard that supports X86-virtualization, Windows 7 can be less fun as you hope it would be. Windows 7 will not be able to run in Windows XP compatible mode. (especially games will not work).

For example Intel processors of the E1XXX, E2XXX, E4XXX, E5XXX, E7XXX and some E8XXX and Q8XXX series do not support X86-virtualization.
