  1. Do politics play any part in food security analysis? https://www.ipcinfo.org/ipcinfo-website/faqs/en/ IPC was created precisely to supersede potential political interferences through technical neutrality, and, if necessary, to shine a light on the political dimensions (at both national and international levels) that may obfuscate the severity of food insecurity situations. IPC provides parameters which are based on international standards to analyse the severity of food insecurity from none to Famine levels. These parameters have been commonly agreed by all partners and are followed in all countries using IPC protocols to ascertain the severity of the situation based on these parameters and data available. This is particularly challenging in countries affected by conflict where some areas are not accessible and quality data are not always available. For this reason, an independent committee of global experts, called the IPC Famine Review Committee (FRC), can be activated to support the IPC country team of food security and nutrition specialists as an additional quality assurance and validation step for the IPC conclusions. The activation of the IPC FRC is also meant to further ensure technical independence of the analysis from potential political influence.
  2. These 5 must be classed as P.O.W.'s, as they were in the I.D.F. Liri Albag was kidnapped from the Nahal Oz IDF base on the Gaza border, where she served as a surveillance soldier. She completed basic training and reported to the base on Thursday, October 5, just two days before her abduction. Karina Ariev, a surveillance soldier, was abducted from the Nahal Oz IDF Base. Agam, also known as “Gagi,” was kidnapped from the Nahal Oz IDF Base, where she served as a communications lookout. It was her first weekend on the base. Serving as an observation soldier at the IDF 414th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit, Gilboa was abducted from the Nahal Oz Base. Naama was kidnapped on Saturday, October 7 from the Nahal Oz IDF Base. She had just finished her training to be a part of the border observation unit and arrived on base on Thursday, October 5. https://themedialine.org/top-stories/women-held-captive-in-gaza-face-uncertain-fate/
  3. Blah, blah, blah, then completely change the point of your original untruth.
  4. So you lied, or tried to misdirect, understood.
  5. I'll ask again, will you now admit you are wrong about 1979?
  6. HI Wobblybob, would you care to debate when the war started in Gaza?
  7. Will you now admit you are wrong about 1979? Israel’s disengagement from Gaza, unilateral withdrawal of all Israeli security forces and settlements from the Gaza Strip in August–September 2005. https://www.britannica.com/event/Israels-disengagement-from-Gaza
  8. Close but no cigar: Israel's Disengagement from Gaza and North Samaria (2005) https://embassies.gov.il/MFA/AboutIsrael/Maps/Pages/Israels Disengagement Plan- 2005.aspx#:~:text=By 22 September 2005%2C Israel's,settlements in Samaria%2C was completed.
  9. You were trying to downplay the "report within a month" to respond in 4 weeks as if it were not that important, the ICJ want a report not some form of response.
  10. Wrong again, you're on a roll today, it's Israel that has to comply with the order not the people of Gaza.
  11. The Good Ship Lollipop may have sailed long ago. but my full post included, comply with all U.N. resolutions, then look after their own people and leave the Arabs alone.
  12. I'm sure the Israeli delegation will call you soon to give evidence to that effect the next time they go to the ICJ.
  13. If there are around 1.5 million Palestinians around Rafah I hope they are big tents as 40,000 will need to house 37.5 persons in each one.
  14. To keep you honest, that is all, not respond, report.
  15. The timeline is irrelevant, my problem was with your wording i.e. "respond" as if it was just a matter of fact comment, whereas a report is " an account given of a particular matter, especially in the form of an official document, after thorough investigation or consideration by an appointed person or body."
  16. No, not 4 weeks to respond, the actual wording is report: Decides that the State of Israel shall submit a report to the Court on all measures taken to give effect to this Order, within one month as from the date of this Order.
  17. From the press release: As has been repeatedly affirmed, Israel is committed to international law, Israel is committed to meeting its legal obligations, including with respect to humanitarian assistance, Yet, the ICJ made the order yesterday, full text here: https://www.icj-cij.org/sites/default/files/case-related/192/192-20240328-ord-01-00-en.pdf
  18. Exactly what it says on the tin, Israel goes back to their given lands, look after their own people, comply with all U.N. resolutions, and leave the Arabs alone.
  19. Really, so prove where I am lying and Israel is purer than the driven snow.
  20. I'd like to see Israel go back inside their original borders, comply with all U.N. resolutions, then look after their own people and leave the Arabs alone.
  21. I'm fine with that, can I suggest that you don't ask simple questions that only require one word answers, and then accuse the replier of lying.
