Yes people should ignore topics of no interest. Why don't they? I'd say in their lives they had no real power so stalking someone gives them a rush. Total power play. Hide behind a screen, abuse some. No harm comes. In a real pub they wouldnt do it. It's a sign of weakness.

Nobody is forced to read or respond. The posters who aren't interested in said topic and abuse the OP are trolls. Just ignore the topic. I've only had problems with 3 people. One guy left. The other 2 are still here. I told them to stop many times. Yet they still stalk me. Other people arent like that and discuss topics.

1. The ignore button is flawed. If you ignore somebody they shouldnt be able to read your comments. Would stop a lot of the stalking. They had this on another forum. 2. If someone starts a topic about X and a poster ignores the topic and just attacks the OP with their first post that is trolling. You see it a lot but nothing happens. People who whinge on a topic don't belong on forums. 3. I think emojis cause problems. Get rid of them. The biggest trolls use emojis as a form of trolling. It's childish. 10yo stuff. 4. I see lots of off topic posts never get removed. Discuss the topic or get deleted.
