Bourdain never saw it coming. He never truly saw Argento, as she really was. Like a true Siren, she deceived his senses. Bourdain thought he had a pure goddess, a real love. What he got, was heartless, disloyal cheater, who abaondoned him in the blink of an eye. For another man.

I think that's what Bourdain was trying to do. He was gently trying to get Argento to see that what she did was a negative behaviour, that it hurt him. But Argento would not listen. Like a stubborn street dog, she would just bite Bourdain, never showing any understanding, sympathy, compassion or love. What a despicable, base and horrific woman Argento is. Almost comically, Argento, on top, insisted that SHE was the victim. I wonder what twisted logic she conjured up in her sick mind to portray herself as a victim, when she cheated on Bourdain. She was a victim of Bourdain's "possessiveness" I guess. Honestly, she probably blames Bourdain for her cheating. So she is the victim.

Indeed, this is a major contradiction in the public persona of Bourdain, who liked to portray himself as this punk rock, devil may care, rock God. But in real life, as Argento noted, he was a deeply bourgeoise and traditional man. Goes to show, you never can tell.

When in actual fact, the texts from Bourdain just before his death, clearly show, that he was not, in fact okay with it. At all. Argento was just trying to save her reputation, clearly now ruined beyond repair, by suggesting they were swingers and both cheated on each other. In fact as far as Bourdain knew, Argento had not been with any men, apart from her ex husband. This notion that they both agreed to cheating, was just a pure lie. That's why Bourdain was so shocked and hurt when he saw the photos of Argento fondling Clement. Her infidelity was public and inescapable.

We should bring back a bit of Old Testament. The jews had it right on cheating. I think you are spot on. The thing is when a woman betrays you, it brings forth a tsunami of anger. In Bourdain's case, unfortunately that anger was directed at himself. He no doubt saw Argento for what she really was, an idiot, fornicating, disloyal street dog, and it was a total shock to his system. When I think about it, I do feel sorry for Bourdain. But you're absolutely right, you always have to take the high ground. That is the way to handle it. You should not lose yourself.

He was totally justified in doing so, since Argento was having sex with other men FIRST. Being the skank that she is. He did it in self-defence to hurt Argento in his mind, after their last argument he looked up prostitutes. I am convinced to spite her. More than anger, I feel disgust. Disgust for Argento, but also for Bourdain, that he could give the best of himself to such a lowlife skank like Argento. Have you read her texts to him? I've never seen something so base and contemptible.

Well, Argento certainly pushed this narrative heavily that Bourdain suffered from mental illness. It was easy to do because in his book Bourdain had spoken about a "black hole" he would be in occasionally. In an episode on Argentina he talked about how he could have depression lasting for days. So at most one can say he was susceptible to depression, something everyone experiences but he was more susceptible to it. However, Bourdain was not really mentall ill, he was never diagnosed with a serious mental illness and was never in prolongued treatment for mental disorders. Indeed, at the time of his death he was working, surrounded by friends, who attested that he seemed extremely normal, following arguments with Argento. We do know now though, that before his death, immediately before his death, he was texting with Argento about her photos kissing and hugging another man, with whom she had sex in a hotel which Bourdain and Argento enjoyed together. Bourdain wrote sensitive and deeply emotional texts to Argento who replied like a street dog, and ended the relationship. Bourdain had poured his heart into the relationship. He even took stereoids to build his body because Argento was much younger and into combat sports. One cannot fathom how Bourdain could be so hung up on such a street dog, to be honest. She accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct with her, but then it came out that Argento herself had slept with a 17 year old boy. Bourdain paid off the 17 year old from his own pocket to protect Argento. But no matter what Bourdain did for Argento, she not only cheated on him, but called him"possessive" when Bourdain dared complain about her promiscuity, and ended the relationship. In this instance, cheating, literally killed, it led to death. That's how serious cheating can be.

Bourdain was never diagnosed with any serious mental illness. Like many in the culinary profession he suffered from depression, overwork, exhaustion and substance abuse. Looking at Argento, she seems like a rock bottom skank and it is inconceivable that a man like Bourdain should take his precious life over a cheap slut like Argento. But he did. He loved her. He had a long, very long, drawn out text exchange with Agento where he was pleading with her to respect their relationship. She told him she was ending their relationship. He killed himself. This is Goethe's Werther come to life. A man killed himself out of excessive love. What's so shocking: Excessive love for a woman, who was a total skank, to those of us who look at it dispassionately. How could Bourdain be so in love with a skank like this? It's sickening.

It's a good deal for her for sure. She doubles her salary, gets gifts, access to an affluent lifestyle and a lot more. Free dinners, free housing. IT's not a good deal for him though.
