In a way that is almost the most perplexing aspect of this saga, how could Bourdain, a well-travelled, intelligent, sensitive man of the world, how could he possibly choose a woman like Argento, who to us, who are not afflicted with romantic feelings for her, looks simply like a 2 dime street worker. She obviously deceived Bourdain into believing she was something she was not. He never had a chance. Unless he had heeded Cameroni's advice, to vet for red flags, and then her child, her 41 years of age, would have been non-starters and he would still be alive. People like you, who excuse a woman's cheating and say "she can do whatever she wants" are part of the problem. There was a time when murder and robbery were prevalent in society. But nobody today would argue that purely due to its prevalence these are just "fine". Whilst the death penalty as provided in Judaism's Old Testament seems excessive, the loss of property would seem an appropriate punishment for cheating. You are misrepresenting the facts. It wasn't just "nasty texts". It was Argento's cheating that was the issue and her ending the relationship. Many people have committed suicide because of a failed relationship, some commit murder.

To say "she did nothing, when her cruel texts are now plain for all to see, her cheating is referred to by Bourdain in his last texts when he was alive, he can be seen pleading, unsuccessfully to revive the relationship and Argento refused, to say, with all of this mountain of evdince "she did nothing", is frankly ludicrous.

I think you're right, where emotions are involved rational thinking takes a leave of absence. Yes, he had success and wealth for so many decades, but if you ask a fish about water they would not know it is even there. When this goal became unattainable, when the possibility to achieve it was taken away, it must have been devastating.

Total garbage, we have tons of evidence what happened in their relationship, we even have their last texts made public now. Whcih clearly show Argento cheated, and theirs was not an "open" relationship, clearly Bourdain was wounded by the betrayal.
