"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
Stop talking nonsense, Bourdain did not suffer from that at the time. He was not diagnosed with this at the time it happened, nor was he in treatment. He was working and his collleagues all reported he was perfectly normal "as always". Until Argento texted him.

No. He killed himself because Argento cheated on him and ended the relationship. She directly caused the state of mind which led to his killing. Argento is the causative agent.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
It wasn't. It was THEIR life. Because Argento had agreed to form a relationship with Bourdain. Why else would he have paid off her rape accuser to the tune of 330000 USD? Promote her in his TV series? Support her morally publicly. He wanted a relationship with her, and she agreed. While it still suited her. So her choices had to reflect her commitment, she had to do what was best for the relationship, because it wasn't just her life, it was her and his life now. And by cheating she ended his life. Do you see what happened? Are we saying that a woman can pretend to be in a relationship, can pretend to commit, then cheat, and there should be no consequences whatsoever? Argento killed this man. She might as well have shot him. She killed him.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
In a way that is almost the most perplexing aspect of this saga, how could Bourdain, a well-travelled, intelligent, sensitive man of the world, how could he possibly choose a woman like Argento, who to us, who are not afflicted with romantic feelings for her, looks simply like a 2 dime street worker. It's almost inconceivable that Bourdain, out of all the women in the world, would choose a street dog like Argento. She was 41 when Bourdain met her. FORTY-ONE!!!! She had a child from another man. However, Argento, while not attractive, was a seducer. Her past relationships include rock musicians and film directors. She was very experienced with men and how to seduce men. She obviously deceived Bourdain into believing she was something she was not. He never had a chance. Unless he had heeded Cameroni's advice, to vet for red flags, and then her child, her 41 years of age, would have been non-starters and he would still be alive. But I guess Aseannow is not so popular in New York.

I don't know what it is with Thai girls, you can't drag them screaming to an Indian restaurant. It's bizarre. Same with my gf, tried twice. Doesn't like Indian.

Indeed 40% is a reasonable guesstimate. The figures are here: https://today.yougov.com/society/articles/43605-how-many-americans-have-cheated-their-partner-poll Clearly, we, humans, are a promiscuous species, being closely related to Bonobos. Cheating is in our DNA. Which is precisely why we need sanctions to reinforce not cheating. Loyalty is a learnt behaviour, especially for women. Even with the sanctions of religion, death penalty and ostracism, which did exist in the past, cheating could never be eradicated. However, it was held in check. Now, with social media giving women not 3 or 4 but 30 or 40 options to hook up with, there is a cheating pandemic. And nobody, not even the rich and famous, the richest of the rich, are immune to it. You talk of free will. But Argento entered into a relationship with Bourdain out of her own volition. She knew full well that her loyalty was expected. But she refused it and chose cheating instead. But she had entered into an unspoken contract, a relationship contract, where one of the clear implied terms is fidelity.

Ok, not at all of it is delicious, lol.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
This does seem like trolling. Obviously when a woman enters into a commitment, as a girlfriend, as Argento did with Bourdain, then she can't sleep with anyone. She did, and it had terrible consequences.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
For a long time cheating was illegal and had serious legal consequences, including death. Its effect was so traumatic that even in jurisprudence a defence of act of passion came into being, which excused murder if a man found out his wife was cheating. He couldn't help it, he wasn't thinking straight, his wife cheated. Clearly, as the Bourdain saga shows, it's still a very traumatic experience for the victim. People like you, who excuse a woman's cheating and say "she can do whatever she wants" are part of the problem. You have internalised the feminine morality of the day and see nothing wrong with a woman cheating. Like many men today, and like all women of course. There was a time when murder and robbery were prevalent in society. But nobody today would argue that purely due to its prevalence these are just "fine". Whilst the death penalty as provided in Judaism's Old Testament seems excessive, the loss of property would seem an appropriate punishment for cheating. There should be consequences, financial consequences would do if sufficiently serious. Of course this would not have prevented Bourdain's suicide, as he killed himself due to love, which is in itself a mental illness, but it would seem just to impose some penalties on cheaters, of a financial nature, that are sufficiently serious.

Why do Thai people ignore Foreigners when they are speaking and begin speaking over them, interrupting them?
Like you I get annoyed when a waitress in a restaurant ignores me and talks to the gf, which happens always. It was a lot of fun when I had a Filipina here, who looked Thai. They would always turn to her to speak Thai and I'd smilingly tell them, they need to speak English as she's from Philippines. Anyway, those times are over, and now with a Thai gf, like you I'm stuck with being invisible in restaurants apparently. Obviously the waitresses do this as it's just easier for them to speak Thai and their English is poor. It's not designed to insult you. I would look at it this way, you succeeded in obtaining a Thai wife, who clearly cares about you as she's willing to go to the doctor with you. Now, of course you have this challenge with the Thai language, and that won't go away. But at least you succeeded in marrying someone who genuinely cares about you. All the points you make are logically correct, and yes the unequal treatment of foreigners in terms of property rights is hard to take for some people, but there are a lot of positive sides to being married to a Thai woman, whose family is also really trying to help sometimes, so I would look on these positive sides more than on the negative sides.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
You are misrepresenting the facts. It wasn't just "nasty texts". It was Argento's cheating that was the issue and her ending the relationship. Many people have committed suicide because of a failed relationship, some commit murder.

Maybe because they still have the bubonic plague there? It can't be the food, as it's delicious.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
She was the cause of his death. She brought about the turbulence of mind, and created the emotional chaos, which led Bourdain to choose suicide. Her cheating, and callous communications with Bourdain, just before his death, clearly prove that Argento's actions were a causative factor in Bourdain's death. To say "she did nothing, when her cruel texts are now plain for all to see, her cheating is referred to by Bourdain in his last texts when he was alive, he can be seen pleading, unsuccessfully to revive the relationship and Argento refused, to say, with all of this mountain of evdince "she did nothing", is frankly ludicrous.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
I think you're right, where emotions are involved rational thinking takes a leave of absence. Yes, he had success and wealth for so many decades, but if you ask a fish about water they would not know it is even there. Same with fame, wealth and success for Bourdain, he swam in it so long, I suppose it lost any meaning for him, it was just there. His next real challenge was to build a meaningful relationship with a true love, and a, to him, attractive woman. He did everything in his power to achieve that, constantly supported her, emotionally and financially, publicly, that was his real goal, happiness with her. Alas, her cheating and attitude, and ultimately her ending the relationship, made that impossible. So perhaps he saw his life as a failure then, because she had become his life, being happy with her was his main goal. When this goal became unattainable, when the possibility to achieve it was taken away, it must have been devastating.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
Incredibly stupid. He had a daugther after all, yes. And to throw your life away over a woman like Argento, who, let's face it, is not worth the dirt on Bourdain's shoes, it's even more fantastically stupid. However, I don't think rationality came into it. What we have is a case of emotions. Emotional turmoil. Unfortunately Argento fulfilled his attraction archetype, the strong character Italian woman, and she proceeded to deceive Bourdain that she was a good woman. His first hint should have been when she accused Weinstein of rape, and it then came out that she herself had raped a teenage boy. But Bourdain just continued to spout Me Too tropes and paid off her accuser. Nothing she could have done could have "woken him up", he was emotionally gone, love is like a mental illness. Even when she cheated on him and told him to go to hell, he still wanted to prove his love to her, by sacrificing the ultimate, his most precious, his life. Stupid, yes. But incredibly heart-breaking. Cheating can kill, if done by a woman that you truly love.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
Exactly! And that was the cause of Bourdain's depression and trauma. The cheating by Argento and the break up of the relationsihp. The autopsy revealed no illegal substances whatsoever. His past demons of substance abuse, his previous depressions, were in the past. His colleagues who worked with him said he appeared very normal and in good spirits. The only thing that caused his depression - Argento cheating and ending the relationship. She was a causative factor in his death.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
He was 61. He had a failed marriage behind him. Him taking steroids to increase muscle mass shows he was aware his body was growing old. Too old for the kind of woman he wanted. And when he found Argento, he fell madly in love with her. He most likely spent millions of Dollars on her, he publicly supported her on social media, he paid off her statutory rape accuser, so when she cheated on him, it was not just a betrayal by the woman he loved, but a very public humiliation for him. Since he was unable to revive the relationship he knew no way out. Men, all their life are taught that they have to sacrifice. Even to sacrifice their lives. For women. So this is what Bourdain did. Perhaps, he saw it as the ultimate fulfillment of his love, to sacrifice his life for her, as Werther did in Goethe's novel.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
Sorry, but that's clearly preposterous. We now have clear evidence what transpired just before Bourdain's death. The texts prove that Bourdain was trying to save their relationship, that he was distraught over her cheating with Hugo Clement in a hotel they had both shared fond memories in, and he was deeply hurt. The texts prove that she replied in the most callous and base manner, and ended the relationship. None of which he agreed to. All this happened just before he took his own life. It is very clear what trauma he went through and what caused his death, precisely the break up of his relationship with Argento in the most painful way. To claim all this happened just before his suicide and there is no causative effect here, is simply ludicrous.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
I suspect because he was 61, he had a failed marriage behind him and he saw Argento as his last chance for true happiness. Because she fulfilled his archetype of attraction, the Italian strong character woman. Not only that, he poured his whole life into Argento, took steroids to look more muscular for her, paid off her statutory rape accuser to the tune of over 300,000 USD, fired his long term collaborator when he disagreed with Argento, pushed Argento to direct his TV series and to star in them, he constantly emotionally supported her over instagram publicly. When she then cheated on him publicly with Hugo Clement, it must have been devastating. A real public humiliation for him, her great champion. She not only cheated on him and betrayed him. She publicly lmade a fool out of him and humiliated .him.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
His girlfriend's actions "may or may not" have been a factor in his death? You have got to be joking. So he just happened to have a major shouting match with Argento, repeatedly on the phone. He just happened to write texts to Argento JUST BEFORE HE DIED saying "You were reckless with my heart. With my life" "Is there anything I can do"...pleading to save the relationship, which ended in the texts. This, which all happened JUST BEFORE his suicide, had no causative effect on Bourdain committing suicide? Are you for real?

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
Total garbage, we have tons of evidence what happened in their relationship, we even have their last texts made public now. Whcih clearly show Argento cheated, and theirs was not an "open" relationship, clearly Bourdain was wounded by the betrayal. We know she ended the relationship, claiming she was the victim, when she was the one who cheated on him. Obviously I am not condemning Argento because "she is a woman", but because she caused Bourdain's death, as Bourdain killed himself due to her cheating, due to her betrayal. You seem to have a White Knight complex, though why anyone would defend a cheating, lying, deceiving, betraying skank like Argento, only you will know.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
No, it's absurd to ignore causation. Here we clearly have texts between Bourdain and Argento about her cheating, about her ending the relationship with him, JUST BEFORE he killed himself. It would be absurd to deny Argento's actions caused his suicide. And Bourdain was not "struggling with mental health at the time". He was filming and workign with close friends, who all said he was very normal, apart from the shouting phone calls with Argento. His substance abuse was decades ago. When the autopsy was done it showed no trace of illegal substances whatsoever. We know exactly the dynamic of their relationship, Bourdain was the adorer, he constantly posted about how much he respected and loved her, paid off her statutory rape accuser, put her in his TV series. She was using him. And then she was abusing him, by cheating on him, in a hotel they both had fond memories in. Something which it is very clear from the texts Bourdain had not agreed to. The dynamic was she was a cheating, evil deceiver, who made Bourdain believe she was something she was not. She was a liar and a cheater. And she directly and immediately caused his death.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
First of all there is causation. Causation here is clear and immediate, just before his death Bourdain discovered the photos of Argento cheating with Hugo Clement in one of the hotels Argento and Bourdain had fond memories. in.. Just before his death he texted Argento "You were reckless with my heart. With my life", he texted trying to get her to apologise and to see how hurt he was, to fix the relationship. Argento refused and told him she wants to end the relationship. There were phone calls and shouting matches. Just before he committed suicide. So the cause, the responsibility here is very clear. Argento's cheating was the cause, and she bears responsibility for what happened. As for Bourdain's role, Bourdain fell in love with a woman who fulfilled his archetype of attraction. He was deceived into thinking she was a wonderful woman, Argento never showed her real side before this. How could he know she would cheat on him? He couldn't. Bourdain's role was to provide constant moral support for Argento, even when she falsely accused Weinstein of rape, he became a public mouthpiece for Me-Too. Even when it came out that Argento herself committed statutory rape, he paid off her accuser with a lot of money, even though it made him look totally foolish. He took steroids to maximise muscle mass in his body because he was over 60 and Argento was much younger. Bourdain suppported Argento with a lot of money. He constantly posted on social media how much he loved her. When his long time camera man disagreed with Argento he fired him. Bourdain had pushed Argento to direct his episodes, to star in his series, he supported her professionally. So Bourdain's role, was one of total support, love and care. So does he bear responsibility? No. Not even for choosing an evil woman, because he could not know she was evil. How was he to know she was evil? He couldn't. Sadly, because women's power is to deceive men, yes, we have all gone through this. However, some men are more susceptible to depression than others. Bourdain had taken heroin, LSD and many other substances, his susceptibility to depression was slightly higher than the average man. And when it happened to us, were we 61, with a failed marriage behind us, did we pay off a 17 year old boy who said our gf statutorily raped him with over 300,000 USD? Did we fire one of our best friends and camera men to protect the girl who betrayed us? Did we get her involved in our business, directing our Tv Series? Did we take steroids to ensure our body was to her liking? No. Bourdain had gone all out with Argento, and he most likely saw her as his last chance for happiness at 61. Well, because some was to blame. The truth is the truth. This was not a "tragic event", this was an evil, deceptive woman, cheating with another man, on a man who had supported her publicly, paid off her rape victim to slience him, put her on his TV show. She hounded Bourdain into suicide, and causation here is very clear. We have to strongly condemn Argento's actions, because if we just shrug our shoulders and say "Meh, women can cheat, it's okay", if we do not censure this, guess what, it will become the norm. Because with social media, women have never had such chances to cheat, it is a new world. We need to defend ourselves against evil women.

"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
So what? Argento knew she had caused Bourdain's death. The texts prove it. Then she gives an intereview and pretends as if she doesn't know why he killed himself. This is not repulsive to you? You have no sense of justice? Really? How was he supposed to know she would cheat on him? Argento just fulfilled his archetype, Bourdain had the archetype of the Italian woman with a strong personality. She just fulfilled his archetype of attraction. But he had no way of knowing she would cheat on him. Bourdain was stupid for jumping on the Me-Too bandwagon because of Argento. He mouthed off about Me Too constantly, only to find out that Argento herself had committed statuory rape with a 17 year old boy. Then he had to pay off that boy secretly. Argento made a fool out of him. That was stupid. Yes. But if a woman is attractive and you fall in love with her, how could Bourdain know she would cheat on him?
-
"You were reckless with my heart" - The true cause of the death of Anthony Bourdain
No, to his credit he did not want to marry. But not because he saw her clearly, but because his previous marriage failed. Anyway, look how Argento lied so shamelessly after he died: "Months after the suicide, Argento gave a tearful interview on-camera to the Daily Mail: “People say I murdered him. They say I killed him,” Argento said. “I understand that the world needs to find a reason. I would like to find a reason too. I don’t have it. Maybe I would feel some solace in thinking there was something that happened.… " Argento admitted that she cheated on Bourdain, but added, “He cheated on me too. It wasn’t a problem for us.…" https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2021/07/anthony-bourdain-asia-argento-roadrunner?srsltid=AfmBOorHIdGBKbEebOU2TIJRIi0FQK5jjiY3Dosdkd8ZxMJ0jbLsuTzR Argento said this when she KNEW full well what happened. That Bourdain and her had violent screaming matches over telephone, that he saw her photos of her cheating on Bourdain and he begged her to consider his feelings. That she refused and broke up with him, saying SHE was the victim. She KNEW all this. She knows EXACTLY what happened. She knows how hurt Bourdain was that she cheated. In the same hotel where she and Bourdain had fond memories. And yet to the world, in an interview she pretends as if she is clueless, has no idea why Bourdain killed himself and cannot fathom it. The true Siren, spinning lies, deceiving...to the end. It truly is sickening to see Argento lie through her teeth.
